thanks to sean,
and he may have learned that the corolla isn't exactly a cream puff,
but i learned that on twisties like that track, a turbo isn't my tea.

Thank goodness we have virtually no twisty stuff like that in US gravel rally somebody must be thinking...
probably not you.

Robert yose on the slow-pills?
They're doing lappie track stuff on a fawkin go cart track for which a short not too powerfull bit easy bzzy thing like Adams Toiletta is wll not 'ggod' but certainly BETTER than a Xratty with a turbo.

Adam said 'well i dunna like the turbocar in ze tweeeesties, n'st pas?"

And since we're really 'spossed to be RALLY guys I answer
"Zen zhank goodnaise ve 'ave vituralment no of ze tweeesties in US gravel rally" implying we have BIG WIDE FAST roads with curves designed for semis.---so Seamns turbo car is immensely suitable for the RALLY conditions ----

but maybe not the skiddie skiddie go cart track..

You're thinking too hard, stop thinking!

I think Adam with a bit more time in the XR would have been fine. He just couldn't come to grips with 2x the power. Mwuu haa haa haa

Teeee Heee.
In a way the extreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaamly modest power in his little 1,6 can be looked at as an advantage---no need to worry about too much, it hain't gonna pull a wheelie in mid corner!

Hey I'm going to pick up a pile of Thomas' old stuff in Madison Park now, then be back. What youse doing later?

At home, wife had surgery Thursday, so in recuperation mode. Going out into the garage in a bit and make a few templates for front strut tower strengthening and strut brace. You going to the u-pull it? I need the rear most side trim for an early 245, the solid stainless style. I think 75-78 or so.

John, you have some really convoluted logic there. Maybe you are thinking too hard. Knock it off.

I can't make that one as it's the same day as BSCC#1 sad smiley

Is Jenne coming over to do the School on the 12th? Autocrossing the Corvair perhaps?

I think she wants to do it, may send her in the Rally car, or borrow a Miata.

Better get the loaner so you don't find yourself arm-wrestling for use of the rally car on Sunday (BSCC#1)

Hmmm. I will keep it in mind but I have a trip to Alaska planned soon after that and could use the $$$.

BTW I got Hurst on the phone last week and he was ok with me using the 3.3L in the legacy. Just had to email him some of my experience. See you at Oly smiling smiley
