New, from Texas, driving an s14. Boom.

Hello my name is Taylor. I'm from North Texas and drive a 1996 s14 240sx. I came from the drifting/street racing (being a retard) scene. Currently there is nothing rally about this car....just your ordinary bolt-on import minus the lows. Car has been through a lot. Her name is Milly...derived from Millennium Falcon...she runs good but don't necessarily look pretty. lol

Bought - January '08
Salvage title but really clean.

February '08
Someone stomped on it. Bitch.

September '09
Drifting accident. Dumb curb decided to get in on the action. lol

November '09
Hydroplaned on the highway at 60mph driving normal

Black Friday '10

Make sure the rally car you buy is ready to go. All of those "little things" like a logbook, take forever to get. Especially when it involves adding half a roll cage. Then you get to deal with all the hacked wiring...
So buy a good, running, logbooked rally car (with spares!).

There is someone on nicoclub doing an s13 I beileve.

Ah here it is

http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=457229&page=1

I'm in the middle of my first build and it is killing me to keep it simple. But safety gear keeps coming up at higher costs than I expected. Go fast parts are cheap in comparison. Get it caged, get it moving, upgrade from there.

Oh I'm good for now with go-fast parts...well, pretty much. Those are my last worry. I just need those last parts so I can 5spd swap it. And then I'll start looking for more backroads and stuff to play/practice on.

Do you have any interest in rally-cross? It would require far fewer modifications to the car, be a decent place to start, and I hear its the knees of the bees.

Well I really want to do a stage rally before the world ends in 2012. Nahh but really I just like the idea of stage rally. Seems a lot more fun to a natural adrenaline junkie like myself. It's kinda like road course to autocross....and I've been to plenty autocross, gymkhana, and drift events.

Illegitimi non carborundum.

I must have stared at this thread for 20 minutes earlier today. Couldn't come up with a reply.

Good luck to you.

Love that phrase.

Talked to JVL today sounds like you have plenty of tools at your disposal. Start prepping that shell for a cage. Set a goal and attain it bro

Shoot I wish I could start right now. I'll have to start right after Spring Break (March 21st) and that will be saving up money. For the time being, it's my DD...and only car. No worries, I intend to get another more fuel efficient (which means less fun to drive in my case tongue sticking out smiley) daily.

heck I guess I'll do whatever motorsport i'll please...except...maybe drag race lawl.

I do plan on doing drifting and rallyx, but mainly as my experience to get me ready for stage rally. Drifting venues are more than available here...rallyx not so much. Stage rally...a little bit better...two or three RA events within 100 miles.
