I'm selling a 1985 Volvo GL that is in great condition and runs perfectly. it has 280,000 miles on it. Clean interior and nice exterior. Clean title, non-smoker and it has been kept in a garage most of its life. Has been regularly serviced and tuned up. $2500 has been put into it when it had 215,000 miles and I have the receipts for most of the work that has been done, including a new fuel pump, new belts, oil change, transmission detailing and more. Reasonable offers are considered. The car has never been in Alaska. The owner is Alaskan resident so it was cheaper for him to get Alaskan license plates. there isn't any rust on it. There is a minor leak in the sunroof that has been taped up, but can be fixed easily.

A clean one with round light, like gawd intended:

Have a beautiful, 2 door 1976 Volvo 242 DL for sale. It’s a unique, cool and a retro vintage classic ride. Currently my daily driver and very well maintained (have records). It has its original B21F fuel-injected engine and 3-speed Borg-Warner automatic; currently at 136,xxx miles and ready for another. Color is Caribbean Red with red cloth interior. Comes with original manual and owners card, Volvo rubber mats and splash guards. Fully intact original glass, chrome trim and emblems. This car is original and unmodified and unmolested.

Serious inquiries only. Call 206.229.566four - Prefer phone call. Will only respond to emails with a telephone number.

If the ad is still up, yes, the car is still available.

I'll sniff round a bit, autotragic to manual swap is sooooooper easy.

Sit a Bertone coupe and flip the visor down. It almost touches the dash.....

Bertone roof on a 242... that would be sexy

Mine has one round light now, but only because I run in to stuff. Parking never was my strong suit.

Pat is that a B23 or a B230?

(naturellement I have rods for both and I think I have rod bearings for both cranks)

Note: there are a few versions of the basic "Redblock"

B21 was the 1975 to who knows when 92mm bore, 80mm stroke 2.1 motor
forged steel crank bigger than a SB Chev "CIS" or "K-jet" mechanical injection (like old Rabbits)
Turbos not intercooled originally
B23 was the 1981 to whenever 2300 which was simply 96mm bore and everything else the same.
54mm rod journals, 145mm c-c rods, 46mm comp hgt. 62. something mm main bearings

B230 came 1984 or so. Externally only difference is cast in B230, same 96 x 80 bore and stroke. Cast iron crank w/ 49mm rod journals, 152 c-c rods, 39,7mm comp hgt and until sometime in '89, 55mm main journals. After that 62, something mains. Bigger oil pump at some point

Motors with the 55mm mains got shitty skinny junk rods which routinely escape, later got not quite as skinny, not quite as shitty rods which escape less frequently.

All have same 44.5mm intake valve, 35mm exhaust, at some point they went to LH (hot wire) elletrononicca injection

All the Volvo boxes are crappy ratios and aren't the strongest things in the world..
T5 swap is easy.
