B21FT. I may have misspoken on the year. It is the last of the non-intercooled from the factory but with the dealer installed intercooler. It is Cameron Daline's old car.

I was planning on rebuilding it to get some much needed practice for the rally car but can never find time to do it and am paying rent to store it.

Gots rods and bearings for that? ¿Cuánto?

For you, this week only if you give it to Gene, about $36 for Michigan 77 bearings and maybe 2 packs of my favorite ciggies for the rods.---probably needs only 1 rod.

I even have a band new oil pump, also on Blue Light Special

Sit a Bertone coupe and flip the visor down. It almost touches the dash.....

Bertone roof on a 242... that would be sexy

The 780 Bertone Coupe isn't that bad for that... the 262 Bertone, on the other hand, very tight on headroom, particularly with a sunroof.

B21 was the 1975 to who knows when

AFAIK, no B21 in any Volvo until 1976.. this matters, because if you buy a 1975 240, you get a pushrod B20.

B20 was USA only as far as my memory goes in '75, but moot point, shove a gawwdddam B23 turd-boat in!

EDIT: whatever:
The main changes were made to the engine. The 1974 240 series retained the B20A 4-cylinder engine from the 140 Series in certain markets, with the new B21A engine available as an option on the 240 DL models. The new B21 engine was a 2127cc, 4-cylinder unit, which had a cast iron block, a five-bearing crankshaft, and a belt-driven overhead camshaft. This engine produced 97 bhp (72 kW) for the B21A carburettor 242DL, 244DL and 245DL, and 123 bhp (92 kW) for the B21E fuel-injected 244GL. All 240s were fuel injected in the US market; the carbureted B20 and B21 engines were not available due to emissions regulations.

Additional note: 240DLs were carbureted in Canada until 1985. B21s I think - but could have been B23s in some years.

i will be out there sunday. title in hand. That being said I'm not foolish enough to give away a quick fix. I think to someone with a little time money and skills, such as yourself this will easily become a really fun car in short order. Full disclosure though is it has been sitting for 3 years now, is a 25 year old car, no stereo and I stole a few dash items for the rally car, amongst all the other things that come with a 200,000 mile turbo car.

Don't want to scare you off just want you to be happy with what you are getting.
But hey free is free. I would love to put it back on the road but its not to be.

Thought I had a pic or two but I can't find any, I will say that it was my wife's favorite.
If your still interested I will have to get back to you with an address or give me a call. 503 ate69-36ate3

Hey Gene, will you come over on sunday and peek at the orange Corolla? It's about 3 miles away from where the Volvo sits...
