I thought newbs could rally g5?

Just to keep things striaght, NASA Rallysport events have no restrictions on what car you start in. Gettin' tired of this not being pointed out......

I think no one points it out because the majority of people really dont care enough to ONLY run NASA events, so they look at the most stringent ruleset and apply those.

For some things maybe, like cages perhaps.

If one wants to run R-A events at first, or only has R-A events in the area, yep on the class restrictions. For getting coefficients under one's belt to move to a higher HP class under RA's restrictions, it does not compute.

ON that 'other' forum, there are clearly a few who only mention one body...and that's on purpose, if you know their history. Those are the guys I get tired of......In some cases, some new folks just don't get the word because of this. I would like new folks to know all sides of the picture, so they can make the best decision for themselves. I'll respect and support what they decide, but not an intentional omission by those who have been in the sport for a long time, and are advising new folks.

Will take a look over there. Other than small rust spots and one decent one the spare tire hole. The wagon is sound. I agree Mark, there does seem to be a one sided mind on which series folks should run and build there cars for. But oh well, can only suggest things to those that want to listen.

Well those people are fucking retards and crybabies and probably coddled way too much as a child, probably still coddled as adults.
You can go run two or three NASA events and be good to go race in a Rally America event with coefficients. This will all be a moot point in a few years when all that is left is NASA. Rally America is run by passionate people, but will they be able and willing to subsidize losses in stage rally and the time, effort, and resouces that takes to have a stage program if their Eurocross stuff is successful? I don't think so. Not if their a smart for profit business anyhow.

I pointed it out because the one event in the OP's state is RA, the idea of locking yourself out of half the rallies is silly, the guy points out that on a budget, I'd like to see him suceed, and personally I think getting going in g2 is a good idea. NASA runs great events, but you never know who will be running what event next year.

How is it locking out? Both sides accept both cars...

EDIT: ESPECIALLY if the car is built to RA standards.
