wheeeeeeeeeeee! got to play Stig Blomquist for 8 hours yesterday. Lot's of fun, no major issues, couple of little things that need to get cleaned up (cruise control, more boost...)

So, what is it? a Lexufinitirus? An Infinixus?

never seen one before. Is it FWD?

Shirley you jest?

Its an AWD audi 80 quattro (90 was the same chassis). available from 88-91 here in the states. Naturally aspirated 10v (90 was available with an NA 20v 5pot) My rally project is identical to this, using the same motor swap, etc.

This particular gem features a freshened up 10vt from one of the earlier 5000 turbo quattros, megasquirt handling fuel requirements, H&R springs, New Boge Struts, 3" fart pipe, fresh engine/trans/subframe/control arm bushings. Has the bigger G60 brakes, the body is really straight, interior is great, headlights are of the european twist, new kumho tires, its white, and not a spec of rust to be seen.

Also got a spare subframe/control arms
Laptop with all the logs, tunes etc.
Bentleys for the audi 80/90 and the 5000(which I needed)

and I stayed under budget.

So you bought it?
I still wish Open Light would have been around a few years back. I wanted to build an Audi 90 and had a shop owner that I had a good relationship with that would have helped out alot with it. Open class an Audi will never compete with the gearing and diffs available for Suby's and Evos. Open Light it could do okay in.

yeah.... if the 2wd thing doesn't pan out, open light may be the next best thing.

The biggest complaints I had about my old 80q was that it was heavy for its size, it was SLOW, and everything that ever needed service on the engine is tucked over on the underside of that silly slant-5 and is a royal PITA to work on...which is why I got rid of it and went back to my white XR4 for another two or three years.

But with the Stebro exhaust on it, it sounded WONDERFUL...it just needed a turbo.
