No no, two identical cars.

Dave Clark passes Dave Clark! Wait, Dave overtook Dave Clark! Dave and Dave! They're NECK AND NECK!

I was thinking about the dust thing too. Maybe you just have some water trucks entered in the race sprinkling the whole time?

Tell me that John from ChumpCar is nowhere near your organization and I'll start building a Volvo 240 for the series next month after we get back from LeMons at ORP.

After donating a year and a half of my life to the man, he has nothing to do with it (other than the lawyers). I hope to be everything ChumpCar could not - about the racers, fair, silly and fun. We all get into this motorsports thing for the enjoyment of automobiles and somewhere along the lines that gets lost for a lot of people. Not for me, not for this - Dirt Cheap is here for the sheer enjoyment of this crazy car life we all dream about.

On the dust concern - we're on it. I'm renting one water truck for every 1.5miles of track, and it's going to water the track for days before, and the whole time during the event. At redmond we'll send the trucks out under yellow to coat the course when it starts to kick up, and at reno they'll be on the road course spraying onto the gravel the whole race. The last thing I want is for this to become a miserable dusty mess. As stated in the not-rules, we're also stopping racing every two hours to un-mess the course for a half-hour. Though it might get bumpy and messy, we're doing what we can to make sure it's drivable by all.

Too bad about the supertoys thing this weekend in Redmond. That's the same track we're using in September. They're just getting off the ground, I'm sure next time there will be a slew of cars.

or one codriving for the other, or switching drivers between days, wouldn't have to change the names on the windows

I was in a race in Sweden once and in the top 12 guys there was 5 Johanssons and 1-2 Jonssons.

Worse than "Who's on first"

If the rally taxi makes its way to this event, Dave Clark will be the first person Dave Clark invites onto the Dave Clark racing team ... DAVE CLARK!!

This type of racing is arguably the cheapest you can do if you calculate seat time vs cost. We're running a two car team at Lemons in December in CA (which is comparable to this), and it will likely be about $400 per person - all in - including the cars.

and how much seat time will we get Eli? I'm sure the seat time to dollar ratio will be 10x that of a rally. Two completely different experiences, but still.

I'm so down for this, Eli, I think you need to consider it as well winking smiley

Excuse me while I clean the chips and salsa off my computer!!!

I was trying to think of what you could do if you all changed your names to Dick Clark...but you know, having a massive stroke just isn't funny.

I'll put it this way, the first time we did Lemons we got so much seat time we were tired of racing.

5 people / 24 hours and Mindy actually gave up a few turns, so we got about 5 hours each.
