Moronson. Like your spiritual friend Lane, your one track mind--if you call that gaggle of ganglia a mind---prevents you from seeing that there was some humor going on suggesting that the guy maybe should talk to the guy who made the cretin Lane's rods, since Lane, like you, doesn't bother to learn any dimensional stuff, you because you claim congenital inability, Lane because he previously could find people willing to help, or simply buy things. Do you see that? Now Lane does in fact the intelligence of a 10 year old with a poor memory, so we wouldn't expect Lane to have reading skills astute enough to see that I was trying to say "Hej Guy with V6 Pug, Lane has some crap you mioght be interested in but he's so dimwitted you'll never get an answer....I did his parts and I can fill you in and then you can get the PARTS from Lane. You however--for some reason, i expected ought to be able to see what was transpiring, but alas your monomania prevents you seeing what the intent of the interchange was. Or maybe you are as stupid as I think you are. John Vanlandingham Sleezattle, WA, USA Vive le Prole-le-ralliat www.rallyrace.net/jvab CALL +1 206 431-9696 Remember! Ahhh, the Lane facade of uber-pleasantness. Lane, knock your endless bullshit off you sniveler. Why do you have some right to come on here---where you offer NOTHING else, and slander me again and again about shit 5 or 6 or 10 years old? You have had offers REPEATEDLY to make right whatever you say is wrong with your Bomber motor... YET YOU NEVER DROOP IT OFF---whining "you don't answer the phone" and 'how am I going to unload it?" like a little fucking whiney girl... FIGURE IT OUT LANE, MAKE IT HAPPEN.. Bring the rods and some bearings and a WRITTEN DISCRIPTION of what you belive is wrong. I will UPS them backk when they're ready.. How would I speak with you in person? I consider you mentally unstable have developmental difficulties and with your fixation for runing around guns on your hip---a part of the mental instability----I don't even want to see you. In other words: You're stupid, borderline paranoiac, and armed---I avoid people like that if i can. But your endless whining about what an asshole i am HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR COMPLAINTS about things which are FIXABLE--- Now you know I believe your are not too bright, so let me explain: Sometimes when you are making or doing things custom or special, there may be little problems. Hell Lane just fixing and throwing parts in low miles daily driver street cars there are sometimes problems--remember you used to run a car repair business? Sometimes they send the wrong parts, sometimes the parts look right but aren't, sometimes they don't look right but are right. Anybody but an idiot knows things don't always go right. The question is how is the problem resolved. Things can be fixed. But that takes willingness to get the shit fixed---and generally its better to bring things up in a non-accusatory manner, presuming no evil intent---near the time things were done NOT 5, 6 or 8 or 10 years later as you do again and again and again---another part of the mental instability thing--nerve incorporating any advice on how to fix things. That is they very advice I have given to the fellow Brian Musson from San Jose in regards to his contacting me about his motor and T5 box which Al Kun in Mill Valley now has. I said when he called 3 weeks ago to begin nicely and we collectively ought to figure out how or why he never got the $3800 for his motor and box....you do recall the motor and box and the $3800 don't you? So quit whining about what a big asshole I am online, quit slander me, my wife, my kids, how I live, how much money I have----none of which should be a subject for you to blather on forums as you have done again and again and again------ drop off the motor, drop off the rods with a description and sample bearing Make it happen. And quit ruining threads with your bitching when I'm sending people your way. ![]() John Vanlandingham Sleezattle, WA, USA Vive le Prole-le-ralliat www.rallyrace.net/jvab CALL +1 206 431-9696 Remember! Sorry John, I guess I gave you too much credit. See - what I was doing there was kind of funny. A mimck/copy paste of one of your posts where you thought it would be obvious to a first time poster to the forum that you were talking about yourself as the source to talk to about engine internals.
The point was that Sean, and others, get really sick and tired of your constant bullshit and mightier-than-thou attitude that derails threads regularly and generally degrades conversations to the point of being either pointless and rude or, in many cases, to the point of being farcical. My post was simply pointing out that YOU are the common ingredient in the toxic threads. You brought Lane into this thread by being a whiney bitch and being all hurt because he calls you an asshole. You are typically the one who resorts to blind swearing and name calling rather than arguing point for point. You are the one who thinks they have to defend the forum from perceived 'trolls' when those trolls simply don't exist. (Hell, your posts are much closer to the commonly accepted definition of a troll post than mine are...) Here's a hint for you. Just because someone doesn't agree with you and doesn't blindly agree with your opinions (regardless of how right they may be) that doesn't automatically make them a troll. Ok, we all know your bullying attitude, as with all bullies, comes from a fundimental fragility. That fragility also manifests itself in your tendency to overstate your position and then your refusal to 'need' to defend that position. Not too long ago you said a rwd car that could win overall could be built on a modest budget. I was reminded of a conversation I had with a car salesman when I looked at the WRX before I bought it. When I asked about the price the salesman just said "it's a very expensive car." I was stunned. I had to push to get a dollar value for it and as it turned out 'very expensive' was the least expensive I was looking at. What I am saying is 'modest budget' and 'win overall' need context to mean anything. A modest budget for a VTCar or Cascade build is probably $40,000 (correct me if I'm wrong Pete) Then I was reminded of the time I won the last stage overall and came in second overall at the last rally I drove in. That was the same year Norm Leblanc and Joe Battrick were fighting it out. Janusz Komorowski was in the mix yet I ended the season third place on the podium in my 2.5RS, right behind Tom and Amy Machnik in their Golf and a WRX swapped impreza. some 21 seconds between the three of us and all but one stage I was less than 1sec/k off the winning pace. The reason I ended up on the podium isn't because I beat Norm and Joe in WRXs with my RS. It was because they didn't show up at that event in the first place. When you said that a car could be built on a modest budget that could win overall I asked, in plain and simple language, if you could quantify 'modest budget' and define what sort of event could be won overall. You declined to answer. So... the short version is the endless name calling, swearing and posturing on your part is getting really, really tired John. Most people I talk to stay away from this forum for that very reason. Others come here and lurk occasionally just to 'watch the madness in action.' The real shame is that you have so much knowledge and skill to share John. You just package it in a way that makes it difficult for people to want to do business with you. Earlier in this thread you said 'business is business' and suggested you don't have to like people you do business with ... you're incredibly wrong about that, consumers will tend to do business with people they like LONG before doing business with the better supplier. I don't normally give a damn if someone rants on a keyboard. I ain't got no dog in this fight. But this rally community is too small to afford to turn away new blood, and it's happened yet again here. JV, there's only one person here that rants in all caps and big fonts. There's only one person here that's been banned on at least 2 other car forums. Dave C. is right, you need to peruse that website he linked to. I've met you in person and you aren't that bad a cobber, but if I hadn't met you in person and only had your online threads to judge by, I'd assume you were a pimplyfaced adolescent living in Mom's basement, with a huge chip on your shoulder against the entire world, cuz you're the only one who knows anything about anything and can do no wrong. Why in hell do you wanna come across as an immature knowitall pimpleface turd? You ain't one and there's nothing good about emulating one. The only thing all your cussing and huge fonts do is make you look bad and make everyone else wanna just stay away. Where's the fun in shouting into a vacuum, anyhow...far better I think to make your comments reflect your experience. Stop posting like a goddam spoiled brat. You want your kids to read what you've typed?

HOLY SHIT, AN ON-TOPIC POST!!!!!
![]() ![]() ![]() Spotted these three (and several others that went by too fast for me to get my camera on them) at Le Mans a few weeks ago. They were the first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth ones I'd ever seen in person. I knew that had that old dog of a PRV engine in them. I did not know they were only 9xx kg. I gotta say, the design holds up pretty well for a product of the '80s. -Dave |

John I've none-zero-zip-nadda issue with Pete. I'm friendly and polite to one and all who are the same toward me. YOU are the individual who is clearly incapable of behaving in a manner consistent with 'Polite conversation' here on the interwebs. You have always (in the past) behaved much differently in person. Perhaps in person your instincts about self preservation work better. Not that I'd be inclined to beat your ass, but others surely would.
No question John....... I want very much to believe that you do better today. You are off the pain meds these days right? Should help. Keep in mind that of all the products you supplied me with..... There was a total of one that worked just so; and continues to be utterly flawless. This would be the Quickrack guts you got from whomever that I got to find the (very rare) steering rack core to match which you sent off to the rack rebuilder who did masterfully marry these pieces to make 2.5 turns lock to lock. In that case...... Well Done John! I love the product! Edit: The rollcage Kit JVL sourced that Dave Clark installed and added to has also been a lifesaver.... On several occasions! That said...... The manner of Bullshit that you spew online and likely to others in person is such that I won't be supporting you by purchasing product you produce. Bummer for you cuz as you are well aware; I've long been happy to spend for good product. Remember the Ford front suspension that you were just certain would be pre-fect for my Volvo? I paid many dollars to you for all that stuff that made what for results? Oh. What did I replace it with John? Sellholm's Product; at a cost of $7270.91 Sellholm's product went right in the car; no excuses, no bullshit and helped me to earn a regional championship the following season. Sellholm's product has not left me in the woods with a bent and broken car due to a front wheel bearing failing and making for the car pivoting around a front wheel at 110mph as that wheel suddenly acts as a one wheel brake. You see John...... Products which are properly developed and produced are well worth the asking price.
You are going to have to help me with why I should have any faith in you; that you would get anything right for me...... As it goes...... I'd be delighted to return the engine for the Hornetkar. You can keep it. I'd much rather have the money I put up for the down payment on your house so that you could join ranks with those of us who call ourselves 'property owners.'
John I tried to get you on the telephone for at least three years about the Hornetkar engine. I wouldn't show up unannounced. It would be impolite to do so. As for 'accusatory tone......' Do re-read your very words on many internet forums John. Look at yourself. Plenty of 'projection' coming from you! Priceless.
I had forgotten about that. I have heard from Brian and am going to work things out with him. John VanLandingham inserting himself into anything will not make it better.
