My Idaho incar vids.
June 24, 2011 03:51PM
I got the gopro hooked up and filmed the stages. Idaho was a lot of fun, can't wait to do it again next year. Great format. Don't miss it.

These are the first 3 stages on Sunday morning. I uploaded in 720p so check that out if you have to pipes.

You have one of the best sounding cars. It was awesome to hear it come screaming up through the woods. Thanks for posting the vids.

Thanks AJ. I'm torn between dropping this motor and going to open light or keeping it and being at the bottom of open class standings and just having fun. (and making a bunch of sweet sweet flat six noises in the process)

grimes was by far my favorite stage, especially the tight and technical beginings. Harris was a little washy boardy this year, but is still always a damn good time. Maybe im biased about my home turf stages, but they are all fun. And of course the double caution transit sections.

Yeah that transit road was a "one strike and you're out" sort of road. I hand braked a couple corners on the way down and my dad(codriver) asked me to knock it off.

tongue sticking out smiley You should switch to Open Lite, 2nd place in OL, is better than Bottom of Open !! tongue sticking out smiley

but really it seems like you have a healthy Open Lite field in the north west, maybe you could Trade your H6 for a nice RS 2.5 motor and end up with a little cash from the deal? (pop in some delta cams) and you are off to the races. smiling smiley

and maybe make the long drive down to Mendocino or NNR for some extra rally action with smooth roads and OL competitors. smiling smiley

Where are these Delta cams from? I looked once and couldn't find cams.

Call Ken @ Delta Cam

1-800-562-5500

http://www.deltacam.com

my crew chief and his preferred motor shop did all the arranging. I think i ended up with some sorta custom cam between a 1000 and a 2000 grind,

we told them stock ECU, RS 2.5, for rally. and they said they knew what to do. i'll have to ask my crew chief for the specs again, he wrote down the degrees, and duration, and how much lift and all that stuff i don't really know anything about.

i just swipe my visa and drive the car.

Fixed it for you. In every rallyists dreams anyhow!
I'm swapping a 2.2 into a 2.5 with blown head gaskets for a friend in next few weeks. If the block is good I'll probably build my open light 2.5 engine with 2.2 heads and cam or whatever. We'll see.
