octane on the brain
June 29, 2011 02:36AM
Hello everyone, new to the site and I'm trying to get a few questions answered so hopefully some of you are of use and can help me straight forward.
I started gaining an interest to rally just before I got my first car, finally after auto problems and doing 3 engine swaps on a 91 honda civic dx hatchback I got it running. Not 3 months after I was dropping a friend off and on my way home crashed my wonderfull car off a cliff into a river agaisnt some trees and boulders. I walked away without a scratch so I know these cars are tough (even if my gas tank was now touching the roof in the backseat). Continuing on this car also had amazing handling capabilitys, and was super light. Now for my questions are would this be a good car to continue with and rebuild my spare parts car? Can these civics compete against all the other cars I've heard about because I have never found anything on honda civics rallying... I have aBout 3-4 grand saved up and my family would like to see me buy a sensible car for college but I just can't take it I have octane on the brain and nothing will fix it until I start racing, so please help quickly, rebuild a civic and try somthing new, or buy another car in my price range and work from there?

college then racing.

join your local car club and help out, if you are going in for anything engineering think about Mini Baja and Formula SAE etc. Maybe find a local team to crew for.

Evidently the fact he missed out on a nice Volvo to replace his fisrt Toiletta Sillycar when he smooshed it by gently grazing an earth bank has led to a mental collapse and a compulsive fixation on what he should have done..

Poor bastid.
we tried.

Are you freakin kiddin me. I've run across 3 of em here in the boise area in the last month and a half. Felt really bad about not buying them, or at least having someone to refer them to. All of em Sub $500 runners.

I'll see if I remember where they were.
