Some really great lists on here and this is a great point to get going with. That said I can speak with certainty that spares are only as good as your ability to use them. That means organize organize organize and have a crew that kicks ass and knows the system.

Knowing you have the needed spare but can't find it while in a small window of time, you don't want that. This organization issue was something we did not have sorted by the beginning of our season but we've made huge improvements on. We have gone to the wire grid display racks, spares zip tied to them, mounted with wing nuts on the inside of the trailer. There are then corresponding mounts in the shop. This not only helps with finding parts quickly in a service situation, but as Martin pointed out, spares have a habit of being used up, and this makes it very obvious that a new spare is now needed.

Next steps would be outlines of the spares on the racks. That and, I think I read this here, painting the spares. This can make non car folk more helpful. My wife might not know the difference between a radiator and an intercooler but if one were red and one were blue she would.

In a hour-long service (or less) I can't imagine too much serious can be fixed anyway.
Again, have a kick ass crew. I watched Kyle Sarasin's crew change a transmission and all four axles, back on the ground in 22 minutes of a 30 min service.
