Is the converter plugged up? i had a similar issue on a car not at all related to yours but the symptom was the same. maybe its worth looking into then fixing with a hammer. in regards to dirty fuel clogging the filter i would have to dissagree. i believe and understand the air that replaces the fuel in the tank is the culprit. Sure the filter can get clogged as it is its job and for the money it cant hurt to put a new one in to rule it out.

I have a neighbor that believes the Feds blew down the Twin Towers.....

I'm gonna try the fuel filter first but since I have a flex fuel truck I think I need a special tool to change it...

The converter was tested (by the same guy who wanted to change my pump) and is apparently fine.

Oh and for the seafoam, do I just pour it in the tank? I bought a can a few months ago and now realise I never put it in.

Well maybe I'm blind or stupid (or both) but I can't seem to find any fuel filter on my truck!

Is it possible I only have one in the tank?

Yeah well me too. I wanna change the filter in mine. Adam Crane has barrowed it for a few days as a 'test run" and reported it was acting odd till he put some gas in it...
Whatever!

What year is it??

Generally GM puts the fuel filters on the inside of the left frame about under the drivers seat.

Most Chevies take a couple wrenches..16 and 21 will work although they are not an exact fit. Then wrestle the filter away from the lines which is sometimes a chore. They use an o-ring on the fuel line for the real seal, the threads are there to keep it together.

it's 2004.

I'll have a look inside the left frame around the drivers seat. Maybe I will find it!

Thanks!

FUEL FILTER
This vehicle has a lifetime fuel filter built into the fuel sender inside the tank and thus is not serviceable separately. The fuel filter is not a replaceable part.

Hey grant can you call me, or just pm me when you have a second. I'm seriously thinking about renting a penske truck like you said.. just for this next rally , its 700 miles away from home , and i seem to always break my exhaust.

usually Jeana is down to ride in the rally car to the event and back, but the last 2 were a bit taxing on her. (lost an axle nut on the way to mendocino)

and Gorman we bent a strut, and ruined my exhaust , so we had to drive home super load.

Well ìf that's not a fuel filter I have no idea what I found under the driver's seat just where Gene said the fuel filter should be! It sure looks like a fuel filter to me with the fuel line going in at one end and coming out the other! hehe
