Eurospec. "Plated" rotors. Not what I wanted but it was what they had in stock to get to me quickly.

Lesson for should been years ago: Don't buy cad or zinc plated cast iron.
Nitrogen embrittlement. Iron is bad enough for that anyway.

Sides, you don't need drilled and slotted--homemade slots are just as good.

You should be spending time drilling out those fawked up bolts and pressing my favorite Buckpack 2.2" M14 stud in there steada poncing around with drilled and slotted cad plated fooffiffery.

I'm gonna call your Uncle Jim and get him smack you upside the haid.

The yout needs a lesson.

The threads for the WHEEL BOLTS.
Ask Paula to show you the Bugpack 2.2" M14 studs...Hell if you're that close just pop in and I'll show you a nicer rear disc set up and the studs, OK
I'm 3 miles from there---if fact I am sure i saw you heading Niorth on DesMoines Memorial Drive a coupla weeks ago...

(I have to run to McClendon's in White Sphincter but I'll be back.)

Well if you had come by and visited beforehand you would have a) gotten far far far better studs, and b) paid far far less and c) had a more relaible set up which d) has a nice lead or nubbin on the end to make starting the nut super fast even in pitch darkness.

But I understand, I am 3.5 miles from there and it takes 10 minutes to get here.

And just in that one photo I see several things that makes my hair stand on end---thank goodness Robert ain't here, he's pull his hair out---and he doesn't have a lot to spare!
1) what in gawds green earth are you thinking with that brake pipe hang out in the air like that? That is a no go. It will be pounded to shit and probably fail in no time flat....get it down secured to the beam, rotate the hose. Make an end anchor for the junction pipe to hose.

2) Sway bar??????

3) fuel accumulator is nice in a K-jet (CIS) car. But a fuel accumulator smashed to rat shit, or ripped right off might cause some running issues...
I would imagine a new home could be found for it in, oooohhh say---the spare tire well next to the fuel pump---and filter. Spare tire well is super easy to close off to meet the rules and so you don't end up fried to a fricassee.

Oh by the way, I just had a nice talk with a Rabbit guy out in Ohio and weeze were wondering if you had any stock: rear shock, front knuckle and strut kicking around??? I need to measure some stuff since i have done dozens of Golves but no Rare-bits.

The fuel set up is how I got it. I havent had time to touch it. Same as the swaybar.

The brake line is moved. Super tight on the hose portion tho, so im trying to figure out a hard line extension or a whole new longer hard line.

I have a whole nother rabbit you can borrow for a bit for measurments.

edit- forgot to mention the front is the same set up stud wise. holding nicely. Not like im entering this in the Paris-Dakar.

Well if you hadn't been so sto0pid...

But I understand, (sarcasm).

And just in that one photo...

1) WTF?

2) OMG!

3) You're doing it wrong.

Pretty please with sugar on top, I need something.

I love this forum. Seriously just learned a lot.

I'm looking to snag some better rotors for the Gaylant later this year, figure that's a good time to run some new lines, and would be very interested in A) pictures of said Bucknutty M14 wheel studs and cool smiley more (qualified info I'm not likely to find in 30 seconds of Googling) on slotting my own rotors.

Press on, gentlemen!

I think I've thought this exact "dont buy cheap shit" leasson on this forum before. But the temptation to take the risk in "getting away with it" and save a few bucks is just too great.

That disc looks great, its not the plating that made it fail. Looking at how grainy and pourous that casting is, I'm going to say that these are really really REALLY low quality iron (plain iron, not even an alloy) cast from low temp cruicibles in china.
