From what I saw at the start on Passmore, it was soupy, slimey, wet, muddy, and just plain crappy. Perfect night-time narrow-forest-driving weather! At least you guys in the cars had the potential for heat. Fortunately the start was in a little hollow, so we didn't get the 70mph winds, just some light gusts from time to time. But it was so rutted and tracked up that I actually took a really good belly-flop into the mud during stage 7.
Sorry for getting any spots of mud on your time cards after that, I was kinda drenched, lol!

I'm laughing, but hell if I wouldn't be up for working in the same conditions. I still say I'll take rain or snow in the day or night or whatever over hot and dusty any day. I've gone down in the mud before

Well yeah, I've been continuously injured since March. Shoulder's almost recovered though. Next few weeks are crazy with 3-5 abstracts needing written and two Suby's to cage but it'll be ready for engine by January. Mitch finally brought welder back, though not sure if someone got a new tip for wand yet.

Were you the one doing the crazy countdown, then just lost it? If so, I am sorry to say that Daryn and I saw the entire thing (we were the next car up) and completely lost it while in the car. Felt bad for you, but also was hilarious at the same time.

And this one particularly hurt. After busting our asses just trying to keep the damned thing on the road (had a couple of sketchy moments), we were sitting in third place in MaxAttack with a pretty comfortable lead on Billy/Mary and Silas/Matti and were really looking forward to pushing hard on Saturday. Unfortunately... Ka-boom!

Yep, that was me! It really wasn't so bad, I was wearing raingear, and although I was covered in muck on the outside, I was still dry on the inside. I've noticed in the past while doing starts for autoXes, when I get more exuberant, the drivers sort of pick up on the energy and drive faster. So I figured I'd do it for you guys too. Plus, it was kinda fun, and the physical movement kept me warm!

Thanks again for braving the rain and the cold. It was bad enough standing around in service. Let alone being stuck in the woods for hours.... I don't know how you guys did it!

It's all about the pasties. If you've got a pasty and a hot exhaust manifold to keep it warm, you can be out there for days!

I had my in car running, but I dont think I caught it on video. I forgot to switch the light sensor settings, so all my night stages look like crap.

Mattew. Really didnt expect you guys to show up at service. When we saw the car, it looked bad. Looking at my in car footage, it looks like the front corner of the roof is caved in as we roll by. I will have to get that uploaded, (I currently only have the full stage up). Too bad you guys didnt already have the strap out, I would have tugged you no question, looks like I owe you one. Glad you guys are ok.
