I'm telling you people, when The Head Of RA loses interrest in rallying and takes, say, Offshore Racing or Olympic Quilting all those asskissers will be left high and dry.

After looking at the responses it is easy to see why John posts so infrequently on SS.

I like to read SS (for entertainment) but as a source of useful information it is not what is used to be.

Matt, I guess you noticed that there was a bunch of noise and "outrage" and tsk tsk tsking at the message which regardless of the words is obviously the result of major frustration and somebody getting tired of bullshit and but is still wishing to try to communicate.

The cynic in me says you should expect the usual....

JV = evil

RA = saint

NASA = evil

subaru = savior of rally in the US

SS = vocal outlet for RA and SS


Having competed at both RA and NASA events. I have this comment. RA is the SCCA reincarnate for good (stability) and bad (buracracy). NASA is very willing to inovate using new ideas from the rally community and suffers the growing pains of implementing new ideas. Both are needed for rally to continue.



Personally, I admire John Shirley for sticking his neck out like that. A very honest statement. He sounds very frustrated and it came through. It did not warrent the reaction that he received on SS. I would like to hear a comment from RA in response.

In SS/CRS forum he's blasting people for not donating rally equipment to the raffle as if he is donating shit, in USA forum he is talking about mentoring as if anybody needs negative attitude mentoring from his ass, now in the NASA topic he is throwing shit at JVL for not chairing an event. As if everybody has an obligation to organise or chair a rally.

Dumbass.... JVL built more cars and parts for low budget rallyists than anybody I know, he codrove with success and you managed to get lost in a SPECTATOR STAGE.
