1975 Toyota Celica Drifter / Race Car - $700 (Kenmore)

Up for grabs is my 1975 Celica project car. At one point a few years back it was a full blown checkpoint racer car with a 200hp 20R, now it is engine less but still sporting a tricked out suspension and other random goodies. It has stiff lowering springs all around, poly bushings and a welded rear diff. It also has a full roll cage on the interior among other interior racing mods. There are tires on it that hold air and are good for moving it around, I have 2 mounted and 2 unmounted racing slicks you can have if you ask nicely. Don't come look at this car if you want a good 1st gen Celica to restore, for what it's worth it is amazingly straight (never rolled/crashed while racing), but this car is far past the factory restore point. Do call if you want a lightened out, awesome drift and/or race car platform.
Like I said, no engine, and the exhaust is gone as well. There is a W50 5-speed installed in the car and an OEM clutch you can have. I have a 120,000 mile (i.e, it compression tests perfectly) 20R from a Corona I am willing to sell with the car for the right price and if it will make the deal. Pictures are here: https://picasaweb.google.com/BubbaJohnson/75CelicaDirtTrackRallyCar Note these are old pictures, the car is rather dirty atm from sitting under a maple tree.

So, I'm asking $700 OBO for the car, I would like an additional $250 for my engine. I am willing to negotiate, but not too much. My time is very valuable to me and wasted time talking to un-serious people with no money will make me grumpy and less likely to make a good deal for you. Cash only sale but would consider partial trade for a LSD AE86 rear axle for my 1980 Corolla liftback. No junk axles, it has to work! Call Rich at 206 406 5054, NO CALLS BETWEEN 10PM and 6AM please!!! That is my sleeping time, lol!

Shetland hp....counts for about 1/2 of normal hp. Now 200 Clydesdale hp would be something.

That thing never rallied around here in the last 25 years. I would have remembered it. And just what the hell is a "checkpoint racer car?"

And its only $0.00! "Add to cart: quantity 7"

A junkyard 2rz would probably fit, with some minor fab miracles.

Special forged steel crank, bored, 2.6 liter on only barely 200 Beee haitch Peas...

Wonder what these geniuses think that's worth?

naw...

it's just that the lexus 4liter v8 weighs almost the same as the 4age, costs a hunnerd bucks, the adapter kit what lets it talk to a w75 supra trans costs about a grand, the shifter comes through the stock floor hole, no sheet metal cutting needed, a set of headers is needed to clear the shock towers, and all that looks like something that would need minimal babysitting. Unlike what I'm currently attempting, this swap has actually been done, and parts are available even to motor mounts if you don't feel like making your own. if I had, you know, money, I'd be shopping for one now.
