results page?

Give it a few days before it goes up. The Voluntolds working scoring are back at work after travelling 700km each way to work the event.

Twitter we could post on the side of a stage road, within 15 seconds of a car passing us. Everything else takes longer. It also makes it so anyone who was to search #bwwr had everything all in one spot. No need to check 2 different forums (sometimes with multiple thread about the same thing) Or "befriend" anyone.

twitter also offers apps for all smart phones making it easy to keep up with the rally while on the go.

While i don't like twitter it is something nice to have during a rally.

Have them go through the entry info before posting official results on the site. There are a couple of incorrectly spelled names in the results that were posted at the awards.

Twitter is so retarded but so awesome for things like rallying. If you have cell service, you can post to the internet.
Screw results, I want video!

John, I think the novelty of voting is wearing off. We need a new bacon. (I know, that will NEVER happen!)

What a rally! I had a LOT of fun again this year. This year was the first time I saw much ice up there which made it a little crazy in some sections. I'll post some video when I can cut something together. Probably going to be a few days though. We ended up catching 4 cars on stage due to Kenny only having one rally under his belt then getting stuck in a snow bank and getting reseeded behind a bunch of slower cars. Luckily on stage 4, 6, and 8 we were able to jump in front of a few 2wd cars otherwise we would have caught even more. The after party was pretty awesome also! This is one of the events I hope I never miss!

I think everyone else has it covered. It's the best rally of the year, bar none.

It's also the fastest I've ever gone on snow/ice. Brandon is the man, I wish we could have seen it through to the end. Damn downhill straights into R3's, they get us every year! He was pissed, I've never saw him ready to attack a stage like that yet, he WANTED to beat Max at least once. Friekin' love it, the dudes got the right attitude smileys with beer Maybe 4th time will be the charm next year, that's 2 firsts and a second place overall I've missed out on at this rally (but always finished, POR!)

The Stage 2 win wasn't enough?

My notes say we didn't get a stage 2 win, but I could have misheard/mis-wrote a time. Max did a 10:09.X and we did a 10:15.4 AFAIK. I was only keeping tabs on Max, Decker, and Henderson, and just mainly to make sure we weren't magically falling off the pace, so I wasn't being very diligent in my time keeping (remember, I'm not a good co-driver drinking smiley )

Either way, I think it safe to say everyone knows Brandon is fast. Since we have nothing to lose, we are all in on stage! Can't wait for the next time he is able to come out, I might have to park the Talon for an event to hop back in the silly seat grinning smiley

I think that some of the lack of information can be attributed to the female roller derby team that was at the bar after the rally.

The scores show you had a 10:03.0 on Stage 2 ...

Once again the electronic timing gear separated a couple of spots. With to the second timing over 11 stages you get an 11 second margin of error (minimum, some say 2 second margin of error per stage.)
2nd and 3rd separated by 3.8 seconds.

I didn't realize they had the results up so quick, very cool. It really is amazing how the to the tenth timing really, REALLY can make a big difference in a rally (to the point of being scary at just how far off previous results could be when only done to the second!)

Also note what I would "ass"ume is a flier on the Silverthorn's part. Man alive, definitely not on my a-game this rally, inquiries that should have been filed not being filed? Inconceivable! Bah, Aaron should have been on top of that anyways spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

I feel differently. I once did an analysis of the top 5 in the RA nationals for their entire history, looking at the results as recorded (with tenths) versus what the results would have been if you had truncated or averaged the stage results to "just seconds".

In the eight years, I found that not having tenths would have created one tie out of a second and third place. I don't feel that changing one result in a decade is a big difference.

The more stages you have, the less likely the standings with tenths will differ from those without tenths. (Not more _miles_, more counted stages.) This is just the math and statistics of sampling resolution being averaged out.

Cheers,
Anders

Grassroots rally. It's what I think about.
