I'm sure you can get more nitty gritty facts from DMACK USA,

but 30-32 PSI hot is recommended, regardless of tire compound

Lina, Unless you are upgrading your brakes and need a 14" rim to clear them.

STAY ON 13S !!! i ran 165 and 175 tires on a 13X5" rim .. the width never gave me any issues.

For racing, you always want the smallest rim that will clear your brakes, and the lightest rim that gives you enough strength to not break. I haven't read about you upgrading your brakes, so don't change your rim size.

Now if you have an amazing hookup on 14" alloy rims, but nothing for 13's You'de have a good reason to upsize. but 13s will be cheaper than 14s... give you more sidewall between your rim and a rock you hit, and it will have a smaller radius for the weight of the rim . (every so slightly better braking and acceleration ) probably a better OA diameter for your gearing/hp too

I have ordered some 165/80-13"s in the shipment due next month, these are suitable for 5.5" rims.

In regard to 13" being cheaper, that is not so in the case of DMacks. I don't know of anyone else importing 13"s at this time but due to the low interest, stock levels will be much lower than the 14 and pricing similar.

Of course all of Alex advice MUST be prefaced with one ionescapable fact: The brakes are the most powerful system in the car. Learning to use with control the most powerful system in the car OUGHT to be a high priority since braking, which requires JUDGEMENT, is, other thing not even being equal, the easiest way to gain a massive advantage.

Of course nobody will do this because they are all already ex-spurts.

We only have 195-15 in soft compound right now with the exception of one pair in medium. The next shipment of medium 195s is due in June. We do have stock of 205 and 175-15s available in both soft and medium.

Hmm.. I'll probably kill softs out here.. First entry is projected to be Gorman in August, not a cool event @ all.

Anyone have thoughts on 175s on a 'poorly tuned' PGT WRX? I know the car doesn't have the a$$ for 205s, I've got a set about that size on it now.
