any pictures of the 15" Dmacks? is it close to the AWD Silverstone / BFGoodwrich asymetrical / directional tire ?

I'm one of the (many?) Silverstone tire customers , i was exclusively silverstone for 4 years of rally .. and now i need to find my new tire... :|

Like many things today, DMack tires are manufactured in and imported from China. DMack LTD is based in the UK and founded by Dick Cormack who was one of the top guys at Pirelli Motorsport and has been working with rally tires for over 10 years. The tires are designed and tested in the UK and made in the Chinese plant.

Old School Motorsports is the source for DMACK's in Canada.

We received our shipment in mid November, and have approximately 400 tires in stock. We have 4 sizes at the moment (2 14's and 2 15's), most in both Soft and Medium compounds. By spring we will have 5 sizes in 2 compounds each.

Prior to our shipment, we did extensive testing in the last 3 Ontario Performance Rally Championship events, all of which were won by DMACK shod cars. At the Tall Pines rally, 10% of the field crossed the start ramp wearing DMACKs, and those that finished all won their classes regionally, and will all be taking advantage of the OSM/DMACK contingency program. Everyone who has tried the DMACK's has been 100% happy, and contributed their success to the tires and their durability.

FWIW, this is not my full time job. OSM is working with a 25+ year old automotive parts supply business, which has very well established contacts and relationships. We are trying to fill a gap in the tire market, and bring competitors reasonably priced yet VERY COMPETITIVE tires to the market.

Any idea if the Tarmac tires actually have a DOT stamp on them? Looking over the UK DMack site is says it should have E and DOT stamps.. I've got a silly idea..

Thanks
Jason

Jason-

I did get confirmation that both DMack gravel and tarmac tires have DOT and E stamps.

Awesome..Thanks for checking. That should be enough to work in the rules of the hillclimb I'm looking at. Now I just need to track down another set of wheels, finish the cage, the tow vehicle, buy the trailer.. where's that damn lottery ticket?

Good sizes Justin. As you mentioned when you get them can you post up the actual measurements as in the past I have noticed that the lassa sizing was wider (195 lassa as wide as a 225 BFG)
Will you be able to get the DMT-RC: ASPHALT TYRE?
Thanks, and yes, needed in the market greatly! I'm looking forward to giving them a shot this year!

its what the Silverstones i had were if im recalling correctly on my 15s. Shortest one there is. But that was for brake clearance reasons. ive considered trying to make something better for the 14s or just continue use of the stock single piston front calipers

I'm continually amazed at the amount of specific concern about tire sizes.
Brake clearance, price, and style dictate the wheels people buy.
Availability, price, and size should dictate the tires.
Justin said: "175/70 R15, 195/65 R15 and 205/65 R15"

I would think it'd be pretty easy to figure out which tire you want to use based upon the gearing in your car and events. Or is a difference of 2 mm between one tire from Dmack and another tire from Bridgestone really enough for some people to justify a difference of $100 per tire or whatever amount it is?

Group 2? Go for the 175/70 R 15.
Group 5? Go for the 195/65 R 15.
Open Light, bigger tire for more rough or super high speed events. 175 for the smoother and lower speed events that aren't as rough?
Open - Similar to OL but look at the 205 vs 195 depending upon event.

Just in case, approximate tire height, (175 * 0.70 * 2) + (15 * 25.4) mm. To get inches, do (height in mm / 25.4).
