Thank you for your inquiry. We have contact the proper authorities and your question will be answered in order to your need, and according to your abilities. (In other words when we get an answer---the big deal is we must be able to mix body lengths and shaft travel to what is out there so we need to see dimesnions....waiting) John Vanlandingham Sleezattle, WA, USA Vive le Prole-le-ralliat www.rallyrace.net/jvab CALL +1 206 431-9696 Remember! Man lot of interest, 3 Subies run by Polish guys in Chicago alone in the last 2 days, an Audi in Portland, Martin Walter with his 240 Nissan in Ontario, and several others.....
I have emailed Brett at Bilstein and called a couple of hours ago asking about separate inserts and what lengths overall for what actual travel so we have to wait for answers. I will go count up how many of the lower tubes are already done and check about how many spring seats and lock rings and upper seats there are remaining..gotta gear up it looks like. Let's keep this going..... John Vanlandingham Sleezattle, WA, USA Vive le Prole-le-ralliat www.rallyrace.net/jvab CALL +1 206 431-9696 Remember! The one offer I've gotten so far is in Appleton, WI, about 4 hours south of Houghton. I have one interview lined up down by Grand Rapids and one in Iron Mountain, which is in the UP. I also interviewed at a local place that I'm crossing my fingers for. They do wireless telemetry in engines. Thermocouples in piston crowns, strain gauges on connecting rods, etc. The circuitry is all powered wirelessly and the data is transmitted wirelessly so they can run the engines with these sensors in them and collect real time data on their two in-house engine dynos. The only problem is they're not really looking to hire anyone right now, but liked me enough to interview me anyways. Currently I'm trying to work out an independent study thing to get some credits and work for them part time next semester hoping that it will increase the chances of them hiring me. Lots of benefits to staying local for us, like FY Racing letting me use their shop to build the volvo, and 20 acres of land to build a house on. And my wife, who is a nurse, just interviewed for a different position at the local hospital that would pay 1.75x as much as shes getting now. So we've got lots of fingers crossed. |

There's a guy who used to run at PPIHC who put beefed up rear glass struts on his Ford Bronco to create downforce...apparently there wasn't anything in the rules that said you had to race with your trunk closed. LOL Dave |
