well to chime in...

i bought my volvo 1100 kms away having never sat in one, yet i now see the advantages that are argued in their favour. glad i did some research. having never worked on one until recently, dont be intimidated. they are so simple it is great fun to piss around with em. the uupgrades are so cheap and simple my biggest hassle is figuring out which of them is the most prudent to get me on stage. if their looks are ugly to a point where it bothers you, that just means you'll hesitate less when it comes to abusing the thing, which means you'll drive it harder/faster.

+1 for volvo

what could go wrong?

Of course it would make even more sense to move away from Flar-duh back to Sleezattle where not only are there cars, there's events to drive them in.
And friends who miss good conversations wif youse. (sniffle)
Feeling's mutual... I miss Seattle every damn day. I've lived all over the world and it's the only place I ever really considered as "home".

One of the newspapers I worked at had a standard shift Aspire as one of the fleet cars. It was always the first one taken. I was actually impressed with how it drove and how stable it was on gravel - That was long before I rallied but my daily driver at the time was an 85 245 DL.

Look at the Aspire, then look at the last Pontiac LeMans/Opel Kadett E. I know Daewoo vs. Kia, but the Aspire sure looks like a cribbed Kadett E to me...not saying it's a bad thing, just interesting.
