Congrats to Jari
February 26, 2012 10:51PM
Congrats to Jari (bttmotorsport here) for his debut of his newly built e36 318is at 100AW. He came in 9th and 8th overall in the clubrally events, 2nd behind Greenhouse in 2wd and 1st in Production class for both events, but more importantly, would have finished 13th or 14th in running in the national, all in a bone stock car - all 2700 lbs and 138 hp - with an automatic tranny that would not downshift into turns and no rear brakes to speak of.

Look for him at RWV with the 4L60E controlled with a TCI TCU aftermarket unit and properly balanced brakes ready to kick some ass. After that he might add a real suspension and some power.

"Now, Pinky, if by any chance you are captured during this mission, remember you are Gunther Heindriksen from Appenzell. You moved to Grindelwald to drive the cog train to Murren. Can you repeat that?" - The Brain

More impressive, check out his Super Special times! IIRC, they were top ten!

The car looked really great and honestly would improve with some suspension. The rear end didn't look happy at all on the SSS, the only time I got to see it run.

Jari is a very cool guy. And a nicely prepped car it is, even without all the go fast stuff sorted out yet.

Jari,

I hope you liked the roads and will come back next year.

Have yet to see that guy "Slay" anything except his own wallet due to the extreme lack of preperation. Who shows up at a rally and has a brake caliper bolt come out twice? That guy......

Who shows up to rally on their way to WRC Mexico with no trailer?

Who rolls their car on SS 5?

Who posts on FB of their soft roll?

Who has their hood stolen after leaving the rally car in the woods til Sunday morning after crashing out on Friday?

Who left traces of their narcissism all over Salem MO?

Oh well, he was a paid entry.

Well, the stickers were scraped off. If it was flat and something would adhere to it, it at sometime during the weekend had a Caswell sticker on it.
