Is it just me or does the PhotoBucket interface suck majorly?

The "new improved" version they launched a few months ago is rubbish. It makes it far more of a chore to collect image tags and codes prior to pasting them in to a post on a forum.
I think there is a button that allows one to resort to the older "interface interaction experience".
It's all probably down to some newly hired young punk IT geek just out of college enforcing his own unique personalised input on the world, rather than him just excepting that the world was fine before he came along and screwed with it.
Same as with Facebook that I had to give up after they changed the settings allowing everyone in the world to know more about me than I do myself.

yep tried the new Photo-buquet for about 3 hours and switched back....way too much fiddling...

Facebook just seems like a lot of clutter and a waste of time. No wonder its popular.

It is not just you.

So, you ready to rally? Pop in a windsheild and quick and dirty spray and you must be set.

Give 'im a break, he's in England, and its hard to tell sometimes when you've been there a while.
Recall the opening scene in the cinema masterpiece on the Holy Grail where Arthur encounters the Agraian Socialist Collective?

Well there you go. say no more....

Lina, it's just that as you get further down the path, you'll look back and realize that TIG vs MIG on the cage wasn't a super important decision. TIG on a cage is a little like carving a turkey with an Xacto knife during Thanksgiving. Sure, it's precise, but you know, there's all that gravy, and peas, and corn, and potatoes, and cranberry sauce, and once it all gets on the plate, no one is thinking about how the turkey was cut. smiling smiley

Once on stage, you won't worry about how the cage is welded either. What the folks are saying hear is "concentrate on the meal", cause you have _many_ different things you need to get done. That's all. smiling smiley

And since we're all "rally family", we want to start dinner NOW! (ie, get you on stage as soon as possible)

Cheers whichever way you go!
Anders

I thought you had the two types of temperatures with TIG vs MIG. Where a TIG weld can be more deformable as opposed to a MIG being more brittle? Mainly because you're putting the head in the weld with MIG and the heat in the material with TIG? Or did I mix those up?

Either way, both are good. I swear I've seen pictures of those ProDrive MINI builds and it looked like they had some MIG welds on main cage elements.

Nice picture.
Bad fit there on the A pillars ..
Some wise guy said famously "The cage may never be called on to save your life, but it CAN save the car's (bodyshell) life every mile you drive it"

But only if it fits well..and that means is attached in as many places as imaginable...

Since you're a welder now, cut some strips of 062 sheet and attach that A pillar to the cage the whole way or a couple of tabs.
. Attach the "above the windshield bar to the body---2 L shaped things maybe 2.5" long will do. Attach main hoop to B pillar..

2002 is not a particularly sturdy bodyshell...You've put down some time and effort at doing this so far---as well as a lot of effort to ignore and counter every suggestion from experienced people , a little more effort, all very low skill, low accuracy, just simple attaching, will mean your work will work better, and last longer..

That is of course assuming you intend to actually try to drive the car in gravel rallies or beat the thing on gravel roads...
If not then ignore this.

Not alot of room to get in and out that door it looks like either. Is the windshield even sloped enough to require the a-pillar reinforcement? It's not required if the windshield is not super long in the adjacent side of the triangle that runs parallel to the ground.
