I guess I'll throw out there what I'm looking for, even though it's over a year away before I can start "really" looking: A 242 (preferrably) that's been lowered a little bit, manual trans (of course, what kind of man would I be if I wanted an auto?), and a more modern engine that gets around 30-40 mpg average. I don't know if that even exists for the fuel economy, but I figured I'd cast my line and see what comes in. Your dreamin on the fuel economy..30 maybe if somebody is smart and listened... But Turbobricks is full of drag racers wannabes who think a HUGE HOLSET is Stage 1...then they wonder why their cars never spool. All the "lowered cars" are done the normal short spring 2-4 times stiffer on a limp dick shock/insert.. Re handling there's a bunch of fixie riding urban hipsters a few of which squish cones, so you can be assured the advice on springs and dampers is---- is IS fawked up. (One of the self proclaimed ex-spurt "I know about suspension cause I am an Engineer (played with CAD a lot)" is notoriously famous on You-tube nearly flipping his 245 at about 20 mph... Smoooth clean asphalt on a sunny day at 20mph. A stock Volvo can go 20mph without nearly flipping----you gotta try HARD to fawk up a car that bad....and brag you're an ex-spurt. Ask Myles about his ride---Turbo with all the "normal hooptie" stuff and how that compared to riding in a car completely wrong for asphalt: Al Kun's 240--with a junkyard engine on gravel tires.
