Hey Paul,

Mark Bowers up in Afton here. Just carching up on your thread. What part of the RIC area do you live in? We are heading through Wed or Thursday on the way to Yorktown for some work. Could stop in and say 'hi' if you have time, and we aren't too pooped from installation work......give me some ideas on your work sked and how to contact you....Regards

I live and work in innsbrook. However the car is in Culpeper, VA on our family farm tucked away in the shop. It is about an 1.5 hours north west of RVA. I get to visit roughly 2-3 weekends every month for a day or two to get some work done. I'll be up there this Saturday slaving away at it a little more, but that is a bit of a haul for you guys.

If you are talking about Innsbrook on Cox RD, I know right where you are. We have a major customer's office on Cox Rd near to there. (AT&T Wireless) Sending a PM....

Finally got something. Only one rule so far, "it technically the wife's car". She upgraded/downgraded from fiance to wife this year as well, good times.

Looks perfect. Now to get the wife into something more responsible. Toyota Corolla or Camry or Honda Civic/Accord sedans are much better for her and would save you guys so much in gas money and they're probably safer and you won't have to worry about the Merkur leaving her stranded and lastly it would make a pretty good rally car... smiling smiley

Well she has a daily dont worry. smiling smiley

She has done well the last two years with it in STF class. But time to move here onto bigger and better things. She wants to learn to drift and I'm backing her 100%. So the car will have to do triple duty: autox, small scale drifting stuff and rallyx next season.

But I cant say its started out very well so far...

better shorten that pipe section thing if you want the hood to latch....

And you know the suspension for driftosis and cone-squish can be same~~ish and more or less good for gravel, but the slow speed of grass-o-cross really wants much softer everything....

Luckly I just tacked the bottom half on for that reason.

I was thinking the same. The springs are an issue that I have thinking about a bunch. I'll see how they work, if its livable I'll deal with it, if I find we do more of one event than the rest, well the car will get tailored some. The thing puts a huge grin on my face and that is what counts right now.
