Sign up under a fake name? befriend idaho rally?

I really can't stand facebook for much (though I was supposed to meet one of their recruiters for coffee last month).. but it is actually decent @ this sort of thing.

Do you have to be logged on on facebook to see their page? I wouldn't think so?
http://www.facebook.com/idaho.rally

They're also supposed to have live text updates to the webpage and the usual super fast live results.

Well it certainly seems Monsewer Hoché-Möng hasn't forgotten how to drive a VW..drinking smiley

And Garth in a nice red 1969 Saab is showing an awful lot of newer cars how to drive..smileys with beer

Where's the blow by blow?

Why is the new and improved Dave Clark is some FWD thing?moody smiley

Has Alex Rademacher forgotten where the gearshift is?confused smiley (pssssst believe it or not, unline some superior cars like that red Saab, for some unknown reason the shift is somewhere other than your fingertips alex.. Look around on the floor, maybe it's there)

Michel is quick, wish I coulda watched some of the stages but I was in the service park.

First stage got cancelled due to some hunters who decided to try to run over a control worker, then procedeed to actually run through the barrier. Luckily they 00 car was able to avoid them and they had a little visit with the sherriff once they got to the bottom.

There was a bit of snow in the air at the top of Harris Creek early in the AM, rain through most of the morning but it started to dry out a bit after noon.

Dan Norkus and Mike Goodwin carved their names in a tree. Last I heard was they had the OK sign out. Couple of other minor offs, Dan Rockrohr is going really well in his open light car. Couple of other minor offs, Dave Clark kissed a tree, somebody else ended up roof side down in a creek, I was told it was the ford escort- if thats the case they had it out and were back on the road by the next stage.

Well, that was a lot of fun today. Christian and I are OK, a little bruised. We got that whole stage on video and I have watched it a few times. We are getting it up on youtube tonight.

It took us over 3 minutes to get out of our car. All 4 doors were pinned shut, I couldn't kick out the windshied and we got hung up on our HANS device. We finally got out thru the back window after an accidental fire extinguisher discharge (I was using it to try to break windshield and pin must have fallen out and it got stepped on).

Most of the damage is sheet metal and one toe link in the rear. We will get it fixed before North Nevada.

That fireX must have been brutal. We had one blow off in the service van once.

One of those spring loaded center punches would have been nice.

Glad you're ok sorry about the car. Was that road the slick granite dust stuff?

Look forward to seeing vid!
That's one reason I like Rear V instead of Rear X for cage. Makes it a bit easier to get out rear back windshield.
Didya have video behind you so we can also watch the fun of trying to get out of car and fire extinguisher and failed winshield kicking? smiling smiley
