Just checked the results from STPR, their best stage finish? 4th from last in stage 3! Currently the last car on the list as far as stage times goes. Way to debut! ROI at it's finest.

A direct quote from their press release: “We need to give Chris Duplessis, Dillon Van Wan, Ed McNelly and Verena Mei some 2WD competition,”

Fake it 'til you make it.

It's a legitimate strategy which gets put to use daily in the business world. Still irritating though!

I'm sure they were giving Verena a run for her money.

I went that fast on those roads when they were open, in an 88 4Runner. Or maybe not if that would be in violation of traffic regulation.

Maybe somebody forgot to 'splain to 'em that they're 'spossed to go slow on the public rods and fast on the stages.
Averaging 39 won't even get you a ticket in a 35mph zone...

Maybe it was all a BIG misunderstanding...eye rolling smiley

maybe they were trying to maximize ROI....more time in front of the speccies if you are going slower!

You know what - at least they got out there and ran an event instead of sitting around talking about it or taking long enough to build a car that the cage needs serious updating when the car is done.

Why so slow? I have no idea, I wasn't there. Mechanical problems, bad tire choice, first time rally jitters, brutal gearing (if they ended up in a Fiesta, the stock N/A box has horrible gearing and final drive)... could be lots or reasons. I have no idea what that roads are like, so maybe they are just 'slow' roads.

Speeding fines were handed out like candy, nothing special there either.

I can't remember their names so I don't know which team we're talking about but it isn't like there is one team that is alone at the back of the pack running well behind the field. Did they finish the event? If so, they did better than a good portion of the field.

Then maybe you should comment.
Imagine that?

Morison I strive not to respond to your baiting, but even you ought to be able to see and understand some justified cackling at some schmucks who beforehand are saying "Give us lots of money (so we can go wank off) and you'll get a great return on investment"
And they drive every stage at barely at the speed any normal person could drive a pick-up with bald tires..

It's both funny and pitiful the degree of delusion some have.

Again tho, if you don't know who they are what value is your complaining?

Easy to find their mane if you look at the RA website, as they had a press release on the news page. And yes, they DESERVE a good ribbing. Said they were there to give the top teams some competition... And I just saw Verena's press release that she finished 5th 2wd national! Checked, at least 10 regoinal 2wd cars with a better combined score.
