Two more. Though I'm seeing views, doesn't anyone like any of them?

I was supposed to call?

We left Friday night as soon as my god-daugter walked down the isle at her high school graduation, got to Placerville at 6:15 am Sat. Left Sun from the banquet at 7pm and I got home at 2am. I didn't even see Aaron.

Of course, it's not like we had cell phone service tongue sticking out smiley

lol, After trying to set you up in the spare room last year, I'd a figured you'd say something. Or at least stopped for a beer. Sounds like you had a rough schedule though.

I was bummed to not see you too!

These guys cracked us up as we watched them come across the finish on 11 - barely-secured gas can just flopping around the back...

Any chance you managed to snap a pic of the green 4runner doing 00 duty?

we were going, then not going, then camping, then we had a room for two nights, then changed it to one night, then then then

wed-fri was the biggest emotional roller coaster ride

oh yeah, and there was supposed to have been four of us (one was a kiddo) and then his teacher and principle were assholes and told him if he went he wasn't allowed to go to the last day of school, and of course since he's only 10 that really upset him

however, yes, I should have contacted you, sorry

Yeah, it was a bit of an adventure too. At first we were going to be 00, and then we were going to be 000 since I've got my ham ticket. Then, the stage captains still wanted to be 000, so we were going to follow the other 00 car (who didn't have a radio). [Combined with the drama of "who's driving 00?", "we'll take the datsun in the toy hauler", "the truck that pulls the toy hauler is busted", "we'll take the datsun on the tow dolly", "this is a huge PITA, let's just use my 4runner instead"...)

Then, on SS1, we had a total of 2 volunteers to run the ATC & start (not impossible, just difficult), and no dedicated HAM operator. We were asked to work ham for the start instead, which was fine except for the fact that nobody could hear us on the radio... Eventually (1030?) the EMT was able to get a signal out on the timing/scoring frequencies, but just in time for the hunters to appear on stage.

Sunday was much better grinning smiley

Who could not like this?
'69 Saab (now with 77-80 front blinkers) mixing it up with everybody and doing good. 43 year old car, older than most competitors still going strong...

I know people like them, I'm just being a needy woman and trying to guilt people into actually saying something instead of leaving my thread un-posted in tongue sticking out smiley

my hunters actually had a bear and were nice (and couldn't get around our car)

well, okay, they were nice after a while, at first they were sorta jerks, but then they apologized and got chatty

Nice phoots!

Clearly you're a VW fan, as you got two of each of the VWs.

my friend took the pics and yes she's a vw fan (not that I dislike them, I just don't ooh and aah over them like she does)

however, she is not fond of white cars because she says she doesn't have a good filter for them and even if she did she wouldn't know when one was coming

but yeah, she was pretty excited to see more than one, so make sure you run Olympus this year (and if you get the chance, paint your car tee hee, but not silver because "silver just photographs boring)
