The 122 with a decent rack like say a Miata rack, front mounted, would be a fun car. Relatively light, huge potential in the motor doing utterly conventional things, easy gearbox upgrade to get acceptable ratios, cheap final drive, and nice curves in the body. I supplied internals for a Carrerra Pan-America type car, 160mm c-c rods (really intended for the OHC redblocks) which are 15mm longer than stock and short very lightweight pistons at around 330g each vs over 700g stock and that thing with accurate GPS speedo did 137 mph at the top of 4th (with 4.1 axle). Nothing wrong with the OHV head either, just needs a little "lightening" and some DCOE 45s. Docile enough to putter on transits, lots of giggles on stage.
