As for Olympus, I noticed that Rally America nationals APPEAR to have waaaay early early entry fees... like, the first week of August for an event the 3rd weekend of September.

We'll see if I can make it, stir up some trouble in the national ranks maybe

The extra entry fee to enter the national portion is absurd. At Oregon it was more than DOUBLE the fee for running the same mileage but as a regional only entry.

Is the recce 2 pass? , and is writing your own notes okay? hmm...

(Probably not going to be able to make it) but wouldn't mind some info for some optimistic planning

Recce will be same as last year. Open recce. Time allowed for at least one pass, but most teams have been able to do two. You have to buy the RA Jemba notes to do recce and it is technically a Notes Familiarization recce. But the notes that you use on stage can be based on any official info that you receive whether it be the notes, the route book or recce and can be copied to another book.

The stages are more compact than last year (no two hour drive between the northern stages and the southern stages), so it should take less time to do recce. I hope to be to seeing the stages and transits and starting to work out the details soon.

After plans to spectate NEFR/NASCAR/GRC mid july, my hopes of attending were hovering below 25%. This news brings me up to 50%. Thanks Alan!
