No. I've always thought they were stupid.

Watch this one. The response or complete lack there of of any fire crew or paramedics or safety people, etc. is ridiculous. Everyone runs away, oh yeah, the driver is still crawling around on the ground trying to crawl over a jersey barrier with who knows how many internal injuries or broken back, etc. The farce continues... OOOoohhh pooor sensitive Morisn. What a baby. I'm not an asshole, but I don't like idiots who state the obvious as if it was some Revelation. Man up, you're from Cowboy City but you're a whiny bitch. We all know you default to asshole mode and that somehow you think your grade school name calling somehow validates your behaviour. (It doesn't, by the way.) You had SEVERAL options here: 1) Fawk... if a Finn can't make the jump without crashing how do those vastly slower Americans think they'll survive. 2) Fawking circus bullshit primadonnas can't drive their overpriced AWD money pits worth shit. Anyone with a RWD car built on a modest budget and balls big enough to keep some wellie in it could clear that jump all day long. 3) FAWK ME: For what that face plant cost - before the hopital bills - a smrat man would have done a full season of 'real' rally by entering Finnish divisionals every weekend AND adding seat time with Folksracing at every chance. 4) That had to hurt. I hope he's ok. Maybe this will bring an end to the insanity... I'm kinda surprised the yer-a-peein' types are falling for this mass expsure BS. I'd think a smrat man would think twice about this - wonder if Seb's going to stick around for the weekend. 6) Tybiaf dyna beth ydych yn ei gael pan fyddwch rali heb gyd-gyrwyr (just joking, of course, I wouldn't expect you'd say this last one) But... no. You take a thread title of 'Why gap jumps are stupid' as an indication that I have just realized this with no other apparent agenda than to be antagonistic. Thanks for contributing... It was just an obvious question to an obvious statement.
As throw away as nearly all your restatements of the obvious. You're awfully ready to find a huge amount of offense. Why don't you just shoot yourself since the world is suppressing you so much? Meh, as I've said elsewhere, Topi lifted. There was only one outcome from doing that, and that was nosing into the other side of the jump.
Don't you guys worry though, in the name of safety (not that anybody hasn't ever broken their back or anything skateboarding before at x-games, cause our safety equipment is in no way designed to withstand 40-50mph head on crashes... oh, wait a minute) the gap is being turned into a table top. The nice thing is that in order to go fast, you still have to clear the table top, so you still have to get big air. Also, it sounds like the jump is wide enough for side by side, so maybe we'll see some passing on it now? I'm personally dissapointed. Working within the constraints of SMI and the tracks they race on, the gap jump IS what defines GRC as being extreme. And hilariously enough, every rally ever ran probably has an accident this bad each time, but for some reason it happens on this jump and it's "GAP JUMP BAD. THINK OF THE CHILDREN!" ![]() |

True. The same could be said about the Group B spectators. If you don't want to eat the windshield of a 037 then stand somewhere else and/or stop being a dumbass. Alternately, If ESPN wants to show some WYKKED AWESOME TYTE HOOOOOOOOOOONAGE, DUDEBRAH, why not have tarmac rallies if they want to shut down part of the city? Yeah, they'd have to shut down more, but the worst that would probably happen is maybe hit a pole or something. The 12 year old Blockie fans might not like it as much though. Only issue. Something about something....dirt. |
