Anne good for you that you get to see that other side of him.... He has always been so very different in person.... even on the telephone.... After enough years of getting bit by the dog..... I'm not too eager to offer an outstretched hand to shake... I know good and well that he will have read through this thread..... He is certainly welcome to share his thoughts as to how best deal with what is 99% his bad behavior. JohnLane Overkill is consistently more fun |

I just went back through time (it seems) trying to find the aluded to thread with the JL vs JVL stuff. Holy crap, rallyanarchy is WAAAAAYYYY tamer than it was from 2006-2010!
I'd like to think Grant and I solved our differences by telling each other how we really felt in my build thread. I now have a greater respect for him (seriously), as it wasn't a hateful thing, it was a fed-up thing. |

Agreed. Introspection. I'm actually grateful to our little tif as it made me think about my own attitude and change perspective. I did cheer on the Avs a little more when they played the Flames though near the end of the season however. ![]() There is probably no way to make it stop. I've developed an amazing filter to quickly zoom over entire sections of threads. The most unfortunate things is most threads never recover from the playground name calling. Grant Hughes |

Oh yeah. Epic threads. I came to this board because I knew fuck-all about rally and prepping rally cars. Once I figured out who JVL was, I could filter the flack and find value on a lot of the answers to my (albeit newbie) questions. I wish the vitriolic responses were fewer and far in between so that we could build a larger community here. |

Yeah.. one of the most normal, helpful guys I used to know back east. Just a little off online depending on his meds. Heck my Jeep still has a rubi locker pump on it he sourced for me. But damn.. quite the online ass

an.ar.chy Noun: 1. A state of disorder due to absence or nonrecognition of authority. There are plenty of nice, polite boards out there if that's your thing. Otherwise, have it out, or ignore each other. You have noticed you're all moderators right? Except that here we do see a list of the very few rules that we are collectively expected to adhere to. One, which is fanatically imposed, is the inclusion of a 'real' name and location for everyone (except 'Administrator' apparently) and the bit about not taking personal attacks too far. Authority, recognised or not, has already been imposed on a member of this forum (Morton) so the idea there isn't any authority here doesn't fly.
