Yes, but not the only reason there wasn't any slander in the post. There was no defamation of any sort. First Rally: 2001 Driver (7), Co-Driver (44) Drivers (16) Clerk (10), Official (7), Volunteer (4) Cars Built (1), Engines Built (0) Cages Built (0) Last Updated, January 4, 2015 ![]()

Dave, taking a page from their book. Any utterance at all from somebody you don't like must always be characterised as a "rant". And any reference to you that you don't like must be slander and or/ libel. I made a simple off hand comment about the probable cost of an Escort built new to that spec (Millinton motor, paddle shift sequential etc) and somebody feels a compulsion dispute the off-hand estimate and to make a unneeded "Quote Morison First, don't confuse JVL for an authority on the actual price of the car. " I didn't say I was, why bring me into it and imply that I am posing as an "authority"? You know I do work on rally Fords and I like old ones but why is it impossible to say something about the subject, "the price of the car", without the "don't confuse JVL for an authority on the actual price of the car." It was pointless and it is what that person does at every opportunity. So naturally it has to be characterised as slanderous...and by stating it that way, it implies the person criticising the off hand comment knows what it did cost since he went to the trouble of disputing the cost by attacking the person who off hand said it.. It's what those Right-wingers always call "an ad hominum attack" (as if the morons using that Latin have a clue of any other Latin based languages the puta hijos de puta ignorantes). Hey ex-DMS-USA dood, you have any 50mm lower spring seats and locking rings? I have a whole bunch of stuff all sawed up ready to be made into 50mm stuff but I have about a thousand bucks of aluminum being made into 40mm stuff ahead.. can you look? Again, I don't see where Keith is attacking you there. Just pointing out you don't necessarily know exactly what Ken paid for the car. I think you're being a bit sensitive and overly dramatic because you don't like him. Not everybody is out to get you, dood.
None of those since they are one of the more common parts to fail from corrosion and people over tightening them. They tend to cross thread. |

It's a lame attack but I can't make an offhand comment without Morison always correcting. Always.. And to keep it accurate I didn't say or suggest that I knew exactly what Block paid for it.. Overly sensitive, naw, just fed up with the constant, endless, picking on really throw away shit..He's like the guy here: <param name= The implication should need not stating: that despite spending ( this vague enough not to require some corrective comment?) an enormous sum and having somebody make and distribute a video production, they only made it 47 second before the car in which he was riding left the road.. Vague enough? And I don't believe "everybody" is out to get me, but several here, you know them, have explicitly said they are here to 'prove' blah blah. Do you see how easily you changed and escalated what was said? "exactly" and "everybody'.. I have to run make parts, so please walk this way.

(gasp) There has never been a failure of a DMS unit in competition, it must be installer fault! (The tolerances DID seem looser than the absolute loosest allowed under the DIN thread spec, but, as always what do I know?) Ken Blocks Escort is not all that high spec like its cracked up to be, compared to some examples in the Irish tarmac championship, his car would be middle of the pack, amongst 35 other MK2's. With the likes of Daniel McKenna, Declan Boyle managing to mingle with the WRC cars. Some of the cars have custom suspension uprights/hubs, different geometries, Reigers, along with loads of parts from WRC's, etc... You can pick them for less than about 100k sterling, for the best examples, 50-70k for the middle of the pack ones. Correct Historic spec tends to bring a bit more because of the sourcing of parts, and the ZF box alone is £16k!

Block also came to 'International' Rally New York in 2009 and ran the Escort.
If I remember correctly, he beat us by 1 or 2 seconds on the first stage. On the second stage, we ripped a line off a shock reservoir and lost 15 seconds to him. On Stage 3, we beat him by 7-8 seconds (with no oil in said shock) and then on stage 4 his diff came apart. We decide to retire shortly afterward as we really only came to run against the Escort, had zero spare tires left after the incident that damaged the shock, and didn't want to further damage the shock with no oil in it and no spare with us. Alex was quite surprised that we were as fast as we were and pledged to try to get Block to come for a rematch at TN the next year but it has never happened. ____________________________________________________________- One. I thought I read somewhere that his esquirt was stored/maintained by VSC. Although, that would've been before the formation of MWRT (who, as you point out, are in my back yard). ![]() ![]() http://www.utahrallygroup.com |

First, I think KB rocks because he loves rally and shows it, to everyone. He's no Loeb (no one is) but he's gotten pretty damn good for an old guy.
Only thing that bugs me is he makes mass marketing to kids look so damn easy!!! He's been writing the new book on modern promotion and having a blast along the way. I'm just plain jealous. If only he was a jerk I could hate him. |
