Oops i got my Navigator pregnant ... can i borrow yours? :p

Well ya, like the Title says, My Wife is pregant smiling smiley

oh and we Eloped on monday... hehehe

I wouldn't really say it was "unplanned" but it definitely was about a year and 1/2 before our schedule... Currently we are still planning on a 9/12/2013 Wedding, though we ran out and got a Cival Marraige (already been engaged for Almost a year) and we had been talking about eloping anyways ...

so yarr... smiling smiley things are a changing for me... lol.

The plan is that I will continue to rally, (and she may also in the future) but we don't want to be in the same car together. well we do, but we figure its less risky for the child if the parents are in seperate cars. And she probably won't be getting into a rally car for at least a year. Maybe she will navigate an event or two, events i'm not going to enter.. Were not sure yet.

I'm planning on running Mendocino as I've already paid the entry, already bought new tires before NNR. and I (sort of) Have to fix my Van. HOA doesn't allow broken vehicles in the front yard, it won't fit in the garage, and the side yard already has my broken STI, and my trailer. hehehe. Plus I'm gonna need something to go and pick up baby furnature , lumber, misc home and garden things... etc

Also since Jeana isn't navigating for me ( boo) I'm having an old snowboarding buddy of mine (former navigator) hop in. and he's covering hotel + crew food. (making the rally cheaper)

So MAYBE come about April or May of next year i'll be hitting up a few events.
so this is an open invite for a new navigator for the 2013 season. Event Cost Sharing will be a large factor in who gets the seat. smiling smiley I'd love to still be able to contest for a championship ... but I might also only do 1 or 2 rallies. North Nevada Rally (assuming it gets put on in 2013) and who knows ? could be navigators pick i suppose. Its do-able to win a CRS championship going to as few as 4 rallies, maybe 3 if no one else is running the series (lame) in which case i'de rather enter Open 4wd . I'd rather get 2nd place due to having competitors, than running away with 1st due to no one else showing up (consistantly)

I do have a set of 4.44 final drives to install for next season (muahahaha!) and i will likely buy a 95 transmission for the .825 5th gear (mine is a .780) and the only reason I'll buy that transmission is to help my buddy Ansel out (he got into a motorcycle accident, medical bills, etc) so the cash would help him, and the shorter 5th gear would be fun for me ..

But that's all i'll be allowing myself to do for upgrades. basic maintenance and that's it.

So yarr... I'll be a father around Mid March smiling smiley (excited and nervous)

Jeana Might crew (which would mean a baby coming to the events) I'm sure not for the first 6 months, but after that. if i can get the AC working in the van, and maybe install a sink ... and by crew i more mean she'll drive the service van around and tell us how far behind (or ahead) we are... hehehe

Congrats! Baby bug is bombing around the rally community right now! Pat Darrow, Eddie Fiorelli, Jared Lantzy, myself, now you, and probably more!
We'll have to start coordinating event attendance and maybe find somebody with a motor home to have the day care in at service. smiling smiley
Congrats again! It's so fun!!!

Congrats!

6 month old Aoife is on my lap right now... truly fun times ahead! (Grant congrats too!)

I think we otter start a "new parent/rallist" support thread!

I keep threatening that Aoife is 170 lbs lighter then my co-driver Jeff. It would take a lot of work to shed a 170lbs from the car... And she drinks less beer!

I told my five year old sun we were going to the races last wednesday, He asked " are we going to a rally?" i had to explain the race we were going to see was more like Mario Kart where you race in circles, not like the videos i watch on line. he still had a blast. Kids are the coolest project you will ever have. Congratulations to you and your wife.

Congratulations.

If you would do some East Coast rallies I'd gladly ride in the silly seat.
