Somebody kick that Martin Eagan guy in the junk next time you see him and be sure to tell him who its from. That guy stiffed me on a $500 refund for parts not sent for my GTX years ago and dissappeared off the map for 5 years. Looks like he's back. angry smiley

When Eric Wages blew his engine on day 1, I found ourselves within hailing distance of the top of the hill in points for Atlantic Rally Cup overall! Had a great battle with Mike Hall in the Mighty Max on day 2, clawing back 30 seconds through the day. On stage 16 I was 4th fastest overall in my little Fucus - why couldn't I be that fast all the time?

At the end I was just 5 seconds shy of being able to put the number "1" on the side of my car next year.

Good times.

Simon

He's on facebook, if you have a previous problem i'd message him.

Yeah that will probably fix everything..

Hey Dave while you're fixing everything on Facebook, can you check on the Facebook page of LEON STYLES, NZ guy in LA who fucked me for the cost of the donor motor for his n.a. YB Cosworth project, wrote a $1800 check on a closed bank account---and refused to answer anything..

He's been in at least 3 rally's this summer on the east coast... most people that thief you dont want to show there face around people in the community.

Whens the last time leon styles was around a bunch of people you know? Trying to communicate with him there's a better chance of getting your money back than bitching on this forum.

Hey dood, I'm bitching on this forum because after 15-16 months of non-returned calls then disconnected phone numbers, dozens of emails politely saying "Come on Leon, you know you have to pay something for my YB I built for you---and which is happily running in whassis names Escort now.
I know you've been screwed on several deals but you have to pay for the core"
it is evident that Leon Styles has no intention of paying---or should I say more accurately---making good this check written on a closed account...

For the money he defrauded me for, I ought to be able to bitch a little..

And the intent is to make clear that Leon Styles is not a man to be trusted when given a fair break....

( Leon had a series of bad deals go down and decided to sell his second MkII Escort, and emailed on a thursady that the following Monday somebody would be arriving from Atlanta, GA and could i pick them up at the airport and drive them to the truck rental place, and help them load the car and the engine. I pointed out that he was nearly caught up on the engine except the core charge for the YB--and that I was a tad leary about the whole pile leaving before all payment was in the account, cleared and safe., I got lots of reassurances and a check---which was NSF. Thus began the chase.. Several months later my branch manager called the branch in LA and confirm the account was and had been inactive forever...
That is willful deception---not a little mistake of accident, it is willful, intentional. Thus, criminal... Of course there is no interest or way to legally bring pressure...so we bitch and warn others that with Styles, CASH or run.)

Simon, there's still Charlevoix! winking smiley

Yeah, sucks to blow the motor after a 1200 mile tow. All for 3 miles of stage. The tow back was very exhausting, but at least the car is at its Northern home in Raleigh/Cary for a quick teardown to figure out WTF happened.

Simon, you should go drop by and take a peek at the carnage. It's in the TT lot.

Congratulations to all you guys..

Thanks. We ran clean all weekend and had a great time. Reilly had made back the previous days road penalty plus 7 sec but lost his throttle cable on the penultimate stage dropping 2 mins. Then we flatted on the way to the cabin after the party.

Congrats KT and Matt, kick ass run! Martin and Ferdinand thanks for comming down to rally. I met lots of great people. Thanks to the honda teams for lending us spare tires. Thanks to the volunteers and to Anders for once again putting on a top notch event. I wish I could say we had a clean run, but... a 16minute off, 1 roll, 2 shattered wheels and another flat later, I was never so satisfied to finnish a rally. And it felt great to post a fastest overall stage time on stage 6. Simon, way to kick it up a notch on the last couple of stages, wow. Thanks everyone.
Roll is around 3:20-

That's some snap oversteer..

{glancing longingly up towards the heavens and speaking wistfully}
Hmmmmmm I wonder how things would have gone in a car with a 99" wheelbase? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

I always thought you want a stable car with quick steering, not de Udder way....
