Perhaps you could ask for the time off. It is over a month away, so plenty of time to get that request in. It is useless for the sheep to pass resolutions in favour of vegetarianism, while the wolf remains of a different opinion. William Ralph Inge TANSTAAFL |

Yeah but he only just started a couple weeks ago at most.. I think he's still at the stage where he has to take his hat off, look down---never look the boss straight in the eyes and refer to the boss as "mas'sa" and in the only approved sentence: "yes, mas'sa" John Vanlandingham Sleezattle, WA, USA Vive le Prole-le-ralliat www.rallyrace.net/jvab CALL +1 206 431-9696 Remember! Yeah sucks to be a new hire these days... I could imagine the poor guy saying "Say Boss, I've been slaving away for _____ weeks here and I was wondering if i could have some time off to go _____ at a car race?" Boss "You attitude has been noted! " (harumph!) (as he glares and scribbles something in a little small book he carries) Hell I've been working for the same bastid for 37 years and I rarely dare ask for time off. Going down to Olympus today but stayed down at machine shop overtime till after midnight to get some stuff done and still feel guilty...as I should. I was under the impression you're self employed. So, you're your own worst taskmaster? It is useless for the sheep to pass resolutions in favour of vegetarianism, while the wolf remains of a different opinion. William Ralph Inge TANSTAAFL |

Yeah. I wouldn't put up with this shit from anybody else. look at yesterday: up at 0720 get the girls fed and drop 'em off to school. straighten bent struts till 10.30 for John Reed---found one was .0015 oval---then went and sheared up and formed sheetmetal into towers for Chris Arboleda Suzuki , then pick up girls at 3.10, get 'em home and feed them and see how day went , then papaer work for some pistons that the guy ordered then afterwards remembered he wanted 16v valve notches, then feed the girlies dinner and get them washed up till wifie getsd home THEN back down to machine shop doing the holes in the top plates and layout, and drilling holes, then cleaing and checking some second hand inserts for a Irish RX7 guy walk in after 12.20 AM---then up at 0720.. Typical long day--low billing time.. Bastid ought to pay me(self) more. John Vanlandingham Sleezattle, WA, USA Vive le Prole-le-ralliat www.rallyrace.net/jvab CALL +1 206 431-9696 Remember!
