Okay, so I'm not telling you anything new.

I don't typically read about rally, and even post less these days. Rallying for me is over, and I'm back to shooting competition.

SS was a pain in the ass for years, but it really went off the deep end when it was sold to somone or some organization several months ago.

What a load of shit.

Ahhhhh...that rant made me feel better.

No. All that after waiting 7 months for a simple one sentence reply.

If Tapatalk is dead there so be it, but at least someone could say so.

I'm on some very active shooting forums (hundreds and hundreds of postings every day) that even includes advertising, but at least they work very fast. (Some with Tapatalk, and others without).

SS has become very slow. So much so it is painful trying to read anything.

I love my Tapatalk as I do Cnc prototyping 60 hours a week, all night. I can check the new posts, but CANT REPLY! Yes, Jens, very frustrating.

To be honest I havent noticed any speed issues.

As another example of a quality decline, I submitted a banner ad for Rally West Virginia on SS. As usual, I gave them the date of the rally. Typically, these would run from when I submitted them, to the Tuesday or Wednesday after the rally.

The RWV sat dormant for maybe eight weeks, and got activated in the last couple days before the event. That was a waste. And it's still running. That's a waste too. So yes, I'm actually using the example of my own ad running too much as a problem.

The latest team PR is Hascher going to RWV. A - that was months ago. B - he had to withdraw!

The calendar link on the front page goes to a 2011. Doesn't list over half of the NASA Rally Sport events. Is the new guy even going to know where to look for the event calendars?

Ads on _ever_ image in the classifieds listings? Holy cow, that makes it barely useable. (not the detail, but the list)

Well, I was going to post something about how it doesn't seem so bad but maybe it's because I have an adblocker running in my browser, but then I noticed that when I go to the classifieds it suddenly thinks I'm "Hendo783"...

the least they could do is to stop blurring and resizing the classified pictures.

What else did you guys expect, when it was sold to someone with no rally background or interest. Of course, to a certain extent, you get exactly what you pay for. What Anders said is true. But the forums are still as useful as always.

I actually hadn't noticed at the time, but when the site was sold, Jim said there was a need for moderators to help with the site. Did anyone step up?

"You get what you pay for" is often true, but "you get out of it what you put into it" is too.
