whaddya mean "again"?

I meant like an 8 year old vs a 12 year old. At Kananaskis last night, John Hall pulled my seat out from under me and I fell, plate of food and all. I sat on the ground where I landed and ate my strudel for the next minute to make a point. smiling bouncing smiley

If somebody wants to bash the crap out of 600hp cars for MY entertainment, break their backs for MY ENTERTAINMENT (you know how many people I've saw break their backs snowmobiling and dirtbiking)? All the more power to them. I get it, they don't want me. But I'll still watch!

"growing up" is over rated, so don't do it except when forced"
(gee Ossifer Friendly I really don't know why the car is in the ditch upside down, it musta been a moose, yeah that's the ticket, I wuz avoiding a big fawkin vicious moose coming right at me! I had to swerve sideways at the last minute---thank Dog I had a rollcage when I hit the ditch but you should seen tha fawkin antlers!!"winking smiley Better be able to be adult in cases like that.

Otherwise fawkit.

But sorry, I am spoiled. i want venue, I want the Rockies or the Swiss Alps--or the fench Alps in the background, I want trees, dirt, smells of pine..
Ya know, i never wanted to be a moto-cross racer travelling around continents breaking my bones..

I wanted to be......................

It's only interesting if someone crashes

Nope, it's awesome in person. Part of the problem is the track. New Hampshire was bitchin', sweet track, lots of daring manevours/passing, no nastynasty crashes (Block got kinda screwed at one point).

Seriously though, NEW HAMPSHIRE WAS AWESOME. I'd go to a whole bunch more if they had the track more often like that. Two moments that stick in my mind, Dave Mirra with a flat/broken rear suspension (I forget) doing mach chicken onto the oval's straight and BARELY making the tabletop jump without smashing into the wall = intense. He was GOING for it, made me feel like a kid again I was jumping up and down and hollering so much grinning smiley

And then Tanner (I think) pulled a pass around Binks after one of them took the joker and they were side by side going over a little kicker jump through the gap of the gap jump.

SO GOOD. I'd watch that everyday.

You quoted me out of context. What I was referring to is the gap jump is only interesting if someone crashes. My whole point was get rid of the gap jump and the joker lap and just let the cars race against each other wheel to wheel ( hey, imagine that, it's racing!) That would be much more exciting to watch.

Well, I quoted you in context (sort of). I would assume that each period means a statement of some sort has been made. It didn't really follow that you specifically meant gap jump crashes, but I now see what you were getting at.

Sorry, the gap jump is too cool. I don't care for the crashing, but seeing two cars side by side over the gap jump (my eventual dream) or them tailing each other over it = some of the best mental imagery masterbation I could imagine. smoking smiley

I agree on the competitors signing up for it. Landings need to be better. Longer sweet spots, that encourage overjumping without risking a flat landing. Dirt is gonna have to be the way to go.

I have a personal hate for grc I dont mind the wild cars and flash and money but its just not safe, Having
put a ton of effort in to a grc car myself with Richard Burtons car we did a Supra diff and moved the
motor back 3 inches and a bunch of other parts. He crashed after losing power and sliding over the jump
and breaking his back. The reason he skid off the ramp was it was a flat sheet of steel with dew on it,
might as well been a sheet of ice! Every jump they have constructed has been inconsistent and
dangerous, from being to fast or having a lip like a kicker, they have been asking for trouble. They bend
the rules when ever they need its a shit show in every way. I would love to see a good clean rally x like
the European series, they should have just copyed there rule book and way of running a show and done
away with the jump so other lower budget guys could build out the back half of the field with stage rally
cars full of guys that just want to have a good weekend of fun door to door racing. maybe something like
a unrestricted pump gas class, but what do I know smiling smiley
