The special thing about rally is that the existing fans are deeply commited (volunteers, organizers and core competitors). Focusing on the events alone could make them self sustaining and able to grow because of the support of these core participants. Then you'll have something you can promote.

You cannot promote a few, relatively small, low competition events no matter how much you focus on marketing it.

Tim.

They had a plan that was going to get the RV to events and at some point years down the road provide revenue for them at the same time. His volunteer efforts would have been in direct competition with this plan.

Unfortunately, the plan fell through and they had to hire a Teamster to drive the RV.

Another "plan" bites the dust...

I just read through jr's posts on bookface, i bet he is a nice guy in person. but i just dont think he gives a shit about the small guy, thats fine with me. when the events run 15-20 cars he might see a problem or two. STPR? no i will wait for BRS. done.

I don't know where is a good place to post this, but my absolute favorite thing from the Fogg Jr facebook was the Sponsor Me Fiesta driver crying about not getting any press for his 3rd place and abhorrently slow drive. In his defense, he did pay the National entry fee and thus should have.

The best place to post that would be on that thread so said fiesta driver would get a chance to read it.

His car was listed for sale for $30k on special stage right after the event.

He also didn't pay for the national. Basically over the course of the two days he wast last out of any of the finishers by minutes. I'm not one to make fun of how fast or slow anyone is, cause i'm pretty damn slow, but to begging for publicity when you are literally the slowest driver out of the 65 that entered is ridiculous.
