That same lexus motor is found in the Tundra Pickup.

I have been very tempted to swap the whole drivelin into a volvo, even just keep the auto, as you would have to focus on braking!

One of my DDs is actually an old LS400 with 275, 000. Those Yota V8s are bulletproof. I also have a spare LS400 drivetrain that I have been planning on swapping into my 1979 Coupe for quite some time. Most guys get an adapter plate for a supra or celica 5speed to bolt to it. It's becoming a common swap around here. IIRC the 1uzfe is also not about the same weight as a 22r, so its not much heavier than the smaller than the T and A series.

I sort of like those. What sort of mileage does it get? That sounds pretty nice. If you do that then piccies would be great.

That's actually pretty cool. Are you a JurboPricks member? They have a guy that did just that (but with many many mods) sort of. He cut an Amazon body off and put it on a SC400 chassis. Quite a thread.

Not a turbobricks member, but I did check out the amazon thread. That is so cool! Being a member of a forum like that would just encourage me to buy more cars that I don't need. I am trying to get rid of a couple of Saabs as it is.

I am hoping to build the 79 Corolla as a Grassroots Challenge car, so if I ever get started on that I will post it up.

@Pete- I plan to be out at the beginning of next seaon. Wish I could make the Dec. 1st event, but I made other plans before I noticed there is one more event. Can't wait to see your RX-7 in the dirt, I love the sound of rotaries!

Tell her only 2% of all vehicle sales in Italy are autotragicco and 3% are autotragique in France. In both places, 50% of the drivers are wimminz, and according to insurance surveys, the best drivers are 35 year oldf wimmins..
And they're mostly all still hot at 35.

Dude! That looks like a fun and fast course! Sad I missed it. Also, it looks like you really know how to drive that car. I am very excited for next season.
