I just got a text message this morning from my friend that takes the pics I share here and elsewhere. Turns out her daughter (my god-daughter) is getting married on the 21st of June. Argh!

Rally wedding! Can they tie the knot at a flying finish? The photos would be awesome.

Tim.

Her mother, brother and I would love that! And though she also enjoys rally and has been a volunteer many times, I don't see that happening.

So olympus is offically the 21st of June. The idaho rally is tenative the week or so before.

Idaho Rally is two weeks before Olympus.

alan

two weeks is still basically right on top of it for those with jobs, school, and/or a limited budget. So there will be decisions made by people whether to attend one or the other.

Isn't Mountain Trials usually right in that time frame too?

When it has been held, it has been held in mid-June. However, it has not been held since 2008.

Hopefully, it will be back next year, but its normal spot is in a crowded spot in next year's calendar. There was talk of having it earlier. However, it can't be too much earlier unless they want to run it in the snow.

alan

CORRECTION: It was held in 2010. So, Mountain Trials didn't run in 2009, 2011 and 2012.

Tim.

I seem to remember some old fart that frequents this board getting married with his codriver wife in their driving suits right before the start of a rally during parc expose many years ago.

Two weeks apart could be good.
Idaho is not a car breaker.
The potential for doing both events is better for west coast people if a storage plan can be devised is Seattle area.

Has anything regarding sanction/insurance been devised?
I think 2013 could be a great year to create a new west coast championship.
Idaho, Olympus, Gorman, Prescott.
