I would wait and see. Other organizers haven't made the call for or against the RA fee changes. If they had, you would see a solid 2013 RA calendar today right now. |

Yes, because nothing says awesome like driving to Michigan, Missouri, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Maine, then the Upper Penninsula of Michigan for 500 competitive stage miles. Grant Hughes |

How are you doing your math? If past years are any indication, I get 132 111 121 117 90 113 ---- 684 stage miles Why such a Debbie Downer lately? |

It's the nature of our geography. You accept it or don't participate in the nationals. Tim. |

Ummm, have you not read any of his posts in full? The point is that except for maybe 5 teams, everyone else really should be concentrating on learning how to drive faster. That means more stage miles for cheaper, and having a healthy REGIONAL series is a less expensive way to get those stage miles. Dave |

Kinda points to the folly of "the Series" duddnit? How many "Champ Peens" were towing Champ-peens? Safe to say every "Pee" class crown... I was just estimating. Probably should have started at 600 since I knew SnoDrift was almost 150 miles and only one event was under 100 planned come to think of it. I just made up a quick number. Is that 684 planned miles or 684 that actually occurred. ![]() Debbie Downer? I'm in best mood of my life! Building rally cars 2 days a week and getting paid to do so, my car is slowly coming together via the Medcroft "one thing a night" method, 5 month old baby and wife, cutting edge science, killing mathematics, goals more often than not in soccer, bowling almost a 200 average, and working maybe 20 hours a week. In the spring I'm going to add an additional rally work day so I can continue to advance making all these ideas and theories I have about how to make rallying successful into a reality. No worries. What's an "A" among friends? Grant: I was having a discussion with Logic over on another board, and he got me looking at the FIA's regional rules. The European ones struck me as interesting. Basically they have things broken up into different regions, and you have to compete in a certain amount of events in each region to be a contender. Not all events in a region, just some, and different events count for different amounts (by some figuring that I'm not clear on). It's similar to what the USRC tried with their East/West/Runnoff Championship, but with more regions (and by my calculations, fewer towing miles). Also, they don't have a runnoff (which I hate, for reasons I can explain but not in this post). That might be a solution somewhat along the lines you're talking about. Break things up into, say, PNW, SW, Central, and NE divisions, and then maybe you have to run two events in two different regions and one in each of the others. Or something like that.
