Typing the schedule is one thing but will any events drop out during the year? I told my Wife i was going to work this morning and I'm still sitting here for example.

I would wait and see. Other organizers haven't made the call for or against the RA fee changes. If they had, you would see a solid 2013 RA calendar today right now.

yup its now official...Good that they have a scheudle out and that only one event dropped. Now we wait to see the Sno*Drift pricing and who shows up.

Maine usually has a good turn out, but who knows? RWV might pull some away, the scheduling conflict could play into NASA's hands instead of being a drag like many thought before. Again, the Fog has rolled in a clouded everyone's judgement....Te he he

Yes, because nothing says awesome like driving to Michigan, Missouri, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Maine, then the Upper Penninsula of Michigan for 500 competitive stage miles.

It's still less towing miles (and significantly fewer events) than if anybody tries to run the full Central Region RA schedule.

pricing will probably decide whether I try to run Olympus or Oregon Trail this year


if it's cheaper to tow and hotel at Olympus + entry than it is for OTR, then I guess I'll aim for that, as a little guy my first time out (on that side of the car) it's gonna all come down to $$ and policies, etc

I'm curious to see how much of a difference not being a national event will effect Olympus in terms of entries and support. I bet it does just fine. We need to support it now more than ever!

Well from what i've heard, insurance is about 1/3 the cost if using the other sanctioning body. Even with fewer entries the rally should be further in the black.

That's right. "We" can't do anything about "the National Series".
All we can do really is support* local events and the other guys in other places support their local events.....

Olympus:
Goodwin, Garth, Richard, Riddle, Plsek, and Burress


Oregon Trail
Riddle, Henderson, Fox, Gottlieb


List is people from that general area or that maybe only ran those two events as part of National Championship.

I count 20. 13 did all 6. All of them that did 5 skipped Oregon.
