Wadda ya mean? I finished first! ![]() I was doing mach chicken in 6th when I dropped the right rear wheel into the crevice of a R6 short. Bounced the rear end up and sideways, momentum just spun the car around, went in backwards at ALLOFTHESPEED. The front guys are hauling ass, major step up in speed. Damage isn't too bad, rear trunk is pushed in a foot due to tree love. What you guys didn't hear about was the carnage BEFORE the event even started during the drivers meeting. Everything was going swimmingly until my car rolled across the parking lot and annihilated the front of the car... twice. But even with the front end falling off, I was having a blast. Really picked up the pace on the 2nd stage. But alas, another stupid mistake. I'll get it figured eventually. Also, Monsieur Clark's Toyota thing, unless I'm mistaken, he said it has a 22re in it. How he blew up a truck motor I don't know, but I'm sure I'll find out ![]() |

Er um, wanna 'splain that?
In all seriousness, that's the best answer...so there's hope. I sometimes point out---usually the car does do anything all by it self. SOMEBODY fired it up, put in gear and drove it into the _______ (fill in the blank). Usually.
Down here most people are way casual with anti-freeze and as long as its green they don't worry. But the anti-oxidants that are in antifreeze get used up and the aluminum starts to dissolve from natural electrolysis and some engines suffer badly in the heads, 22r being one, and in the water pump housings--and 22R suffers there too...and they usually get told "the head cracked" Who knows, maybe it wasn't this but I have seen a lot of rotted heads where it looks like craters of the moon inside the head.. You don't have to worry since those Sub-a-rat things are all aluminum...they just snap the cheesoid cranks, and bend the taffy rods. The only car that was off on Black Forest that needed recovery was the nbr 11. Those poor guys did not start their day off well. Ended not so well either. I have a couple pics. Will upload them once Im home.
Gave a quick tug for 17, 6 and 14 on Gem. Have to say it was a blast to work 99 up here. Will definitely do it again. |

Yeah Dave overheated and said it wouldn't even crank. He still had a huge smile on his face when sweep towed him by everyone at the turn around.
Eric Pehota got a little body work due to a couple trees but got tugged back on and finished, I think anyway. Graham Bruce went off in the same corner Kenny and I went off last year except we did it on the uphill he did it downhill. Brandon got stuck in a bank for 4 minutes then got some other penalties after that. I only have part of the story so I won't elaborate. Derik apparently spun and got stuck in a bank blocking the road so Boris had to yank him out. The Polish Rally Mafia had a late/wrong note that sent them off into a tree but nothing major got hit. That's all I can think of right now. We kept a steady pace with the goal to go fast enough for some fun but also stay on the road. We did that! Finished 6th. |

Dave's car was burning oil bad the few times I saw him. Afterwards he told me it was overheating. The engine wouldn't start before the last stage.
The rally was well organized and reletivly drama free I rolled my truck on the way home. I'm stuck in a hotel in Meritt. I plan on making repairs in the auto parts store parking lot and driving home. Plexiglass, duct tape and a set of trailer lights will hopefully do the trick. I am sore and pissed off! Robert. "You are way too normal to be on Rally Anarchy." Eddie Fiorelli. |
