You know, I think a certain person who makes a lot of green parts and frequents this board may have made a turbo restrictor or two. Just a hint...

Yeah I think I heard that too. I think I heard they were really purdy...

Looked something like this:

But the compressor housing was neded as it must be counterbored and the transition from the fucking POS useless restrictor to the housing made in a final pass...

I ask aroound a bit...in 3 minutes.

Just get a piece of 1/8" thick steel. Cut the <> shape you need for that piece of steel to act as a gasket on that little bolt on elbow. Then use a compass to draw a 32mm diameter circle and a dremel to carefully cut the perfect circle. Stick that on like a gasket and voila, instant restrictor with probably the poorest flow properties ever.

The first restrictor I ever saw was basically a piece of tubing with a washer welded into it.

The above will be cheap at least and give you and idea of what you are sacrificing in power with the restrictor and make a proper one feel awesome and make you forget what life was like without a restrictor.

You cheap slut
JB Weld: restrictor in a tube.
Wet you finger with dis soap and when its setting up poke your thumb thru and then mold it into a shape.. Way better-er flowz.

I heard of someone "fixing" a restrictor using that method. It was cut just a little too big, so a quick swipe of JBweld along the inside and it was legit....well....ummm....it passed the foam ball test anyway.

I had two made for this turbo, one at full size (48mm I think) and another one at 34mm. Both flared out to 4" to mate up with the intake piping I use on the standard Garrett 35r.

First up is the big straw:

And next the small straw:

I'm pretty sure every time someone is forced to fit one to their car, a kitten is murdered. You don't want to kill a kitten, do you?
