No, the rules simply state it must be of braided construction

"Any nonstandard fuel line located
in the passenger compartment shall be made of metal or metal braided
construction, with self-sealing threads at all connections, or comply with"

The factory lines are in great shape, but about 2 feet to short. If I'm going to stick with hard lines I'll reuse those and still need a few feet of the braided crap to put the dual fuel pumps anyway

A reasonably well stocked speed shop ought to be able to assemble what you need.

So would any industrial hydraulic shop have single steel braid, often with a Nomex woven cover for flexible lines...for a lot less money.

Now maybe he wants the shiny stainless look, then yeah Summit or Jegs.

See this stuff? Weatherhear SAE 100R5

Aint gonna stink no stink gas.. But he ain't intending to run HOSE in the car.

STEEL PIPE thru the car, HOSE to the things that get connected...a short bit top the fuel rail and some tank to pump to filter to hard line.

Yes, gas will be run through the car using factory steel lines that are in great shape., however if someone knew of a screaming deal on the pretty stuff, I'd be pretty easily persuaded. If the best we got is summit... better spent elsewhere.

Summit and Jeg's have good pricing on their braided hose. However, steer clear of their brand fittings...Earl's or Aeroquip are the only two brands I'd go with. They're pricier, but they won't seize up like the junk Summit brand stuff did to me on many occasions(with a car that never saw bad weather)
