I can assure you that down the road, you'll see it was a smarter choice. (I had one of those things years ago, got it for free and it was a fun little shit-box, LOTS of fun to pound the piss out of, but already in the early 90s it was a bitch to find parts for, and it seemed like Toyota changed tons of stuff every year so you HAD TO have just a '79 ignition igniter or starter relay...pain in the ass. 240s were made from 1975 to 1993 with only superficial changes to the sheetmetal and small detail changes inside the motor--and the change from old K-Jet to Bosch electronic injection... Much easier car to live with, and once they have good suspension, they're hilariously fun to beat on... And remember, I say this as a Ford guy...
