You have to mod the floor a wee bit for it to fit.

I also modded the support brackets so I could move the thing back about 1/2, allowing the spares to fit without having to fight them in/out. This also required moving the tank stop behind it.

i did something kind of similar. when i got the rabbit the OE fuel pump crapped out and it was under the car in a really hard to access spot. I decided to install two aftermarket pumps in the passenger compartment, in a box, under the spare tire.

i only had to fab two sides of the box, since i used the spare tire well. be warned that if you use all AN stuff it will be super expensive. like, i could of bought another mint rabbit for how much i spent on this fuel system....

the line up top is from the OE tank into the wheel well, and the line on the bottom is the pressure line exiting. i also put a shut off on the line right after it exits the tank. i would recommend that, if you ever have to work on your fuel system and you happen to have a full tank of gas, you will be happy you have it.

here you can see the box under the spare. it still needs a lid, but that is easy, i am sure i will get around to making it the night before the first rally of the season at 2am...

i also put the fuel pump switches there on the panel on the left. i thought it would be a cool spot for them, but after getting some good testing this weekend (as good as possible with the snow on most roads) i think the switches need to be moved to the dash.

Copy that - I like it!

I was pricing AN stuff last night - without the hard lines looks like I'm at $150 or so - saw this from one of my sponsors - that after pricing, banjo's, crush washers, hose ends a Tee and 2 lines will actually cost less than all those put together (they're also a sponsor).

034 Dual Fuel Pump Rail

Switches on the dash - that's where mine are as well - I like to go from one to the other every other stage or so, just so I keep them moving and I know they're working.

I know you said ignore the fittings, but wow, did you guys take apart the BBQ for parts or what?

Hehe, things found around the shop. The shop typically is used for large industrial jobs. It did the job for the test, we cleaned it up later.

That could be simplified and done for mere fractions of the $75 but if they're a sponsor like whatever.

That's a nicely done box there. And I'd like people to take note of how the spare is secured in; it is a positive type of retention....2 straps across the tire is not, unless they keep the tire around a fixed stud or eye through the wheel center.

So after figuring out the fittings I need - I priced out anplumbing.com @$242 and discounthydraulichose.com (all steel fittings) @$83.39 for the exact same list...

Anyone see any downside with going with steel (besides the incredible weight it would add tongue sticking out smiley).

Particularly the shut off valve (my thought is to drill the handle and safety wire it open).

This one should do the trick - JVL, we should really increase this 256 kb per image deal...

Don't see any tubing in your list?

I might make the shut off valve removable and zip tie it to the cage or something. If you are throwing your spare and tools around it just sounds like something to catch the inside lip of a tire ore something equally silly.

20ft SS tubing

Saw there was Aluminum tubing as well, but have read that the alcohol in modern pump gas makes the AL very brittle.

I wasn't real cool about the $2.50/ft though - I'd expect I can find regular ol'steel down at my hydraulic shop for much less.

Well, I bought a bunch of junk (some 2-wire hydraulic fittings I'll never use - very stout!), anyway here is the result after buying a few more fittings from my local guy (about the same rates as the discount internet dudes, but without the shipping!)...

Any suggestions on how to build a top for this?
