Olympus rally lodging discounts.
January 21, 2013 06:51PM
Anyone know anything about lodging group discounts for the event?
Just found out lodging at the casino for HQ is going to be just over $500.00 for 3 nights, seems a bit excessive. That's 2 braid wheels the way I look at it.

Well, the Pro Teams probably aren't even blinking an eye when they drop 35-40K on the weekend...

Hey that money could be paying for my suspension! In any case I booked the room. Last year at Red lion they had a pretty decent discount, I think I paid just over 300 for 3 nights.
I wonder how many pro teams will show up now that Olympus is not sanctioned by RA? Seems if prices are going to be cheaper, I wonder if we will surpass 70 some odd cars from last year.

Where is the event HQ? Aberdeen? Hoquium?

Double up or more, you're only there to sleep so drink beer till you're near dead and then collapse. As long as you are warm and don't step on too many bodies everything should be fine. Get 3 other crews in the room.

Fawking impatient kids....there will be a deal on rooms. Meeting is Feb 8th to hammer details and prices out. I suspect the actual rate will be around $90 a nite. So maybe enough to buy a door...I wouldn't worry so much about Braid wheels until your accuracy improves. tongue sticking out smiley

thought it was june?

no matter, I'm so cheap I usually camp even when it's in april

though I did used to get a room for doo wops, but then that time of year and with a discount, and in that area a room wasn't much more than camping anyway

We went camping this past weekend and it was awesome. The area we were in has a ton of roads and NO people. I did do this though...
