We went camping this past weekend and it was awesome. The area we were in has a ton of roads and NO people. I did do this though...

Well, Mark is to blame as he took the video and posted it and must not allow stuff to be viewed by the general public.
Here's a picture preview...

Been thinking about trying out camping in the snow at least once. Not sure that I have the proper gear though.

Done it. Involuntarily. Weeks. I was cold..-12C or lower in the night.. Best to try it in winter...

You started a "Hey let's split a room 4 ways" thread yet?

Yeah that's a bit cold. How did you get into that situation for weeks?

Haven't started a thread yet, going to wait to see what the prices will actually be. The girlfriend will more likely be there too and she will not be into splitting a room with a bunch a people she doesn't know. One other thing that I'm pretty paranoid about is that I have sleep apnea in a bad way. I would be worried to keep everyone awake. I really need to book an appointment to get this thing resolved.

Done it as well, as recently as '07. It sucks, 'specially when you're on a Moto, and by your lonesome (nobody to keep you warm, and not even a car to bail-into to warm up!).

Though mine wasn't that cold, probably only -6C or so at nite, and it was "only" two days. But it was freezie-rainy.

Did I mention it sucks?

Yeah that would probably work. I would suspect Robert would crash there too, unless he wants a quite place to work on notes. Was talking to Rebecca the other day. I'm not sure that she will be going but it would sure be nice to have here bring food and beverages to us like last year. Also to take care of checking in and out of the hotel. I need to get your first aid kit and Spill kit back to you soon along with the dent pulling tool.

spill kit is yours, so is the first aid kit. i bought new ones. well, i didnt buy them, santa did.

im pushing to actually run this. but not quite sure how to work out juggling car/truck. dunno if the wife is gonna make it along. the car is about road worthy, then i can get it to robert ans have him take a look and see what i fucked up. then ill put out feelers for a co-driver.

Thanks Max, I'll have to get you some beers!

There is a guy who navigated a TSD with me a few years ago, he did the Primitive navi school a few years ago. I can email him if you need. Not sure if he has ever done stage rally though.

I thought your uncle was going to navi?

I really havent had a chance to email anyone yet. I ripped into the car to tidy up and replace normal stuff. Having to fac a few things and the brake deal took longer then expected. I started it this last weekend. need to sort out some wiring and finalize the "dash".
